2015 CPHB Board of Directors Installed - On January 14, The Housing Institute (THI) and the Certified Professional Home Builder of Georgia (CPHB) program installed its 2015 board of directors (BOD), and John Copper was installed as president. The THI BOD installation was one of the highlights of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Installation and Awards Reception and Program at Villa Christina. The legendary John Wieland discussed his journey in the housing industry and his thoughts on the future of the Atlanta housing market prior to leading Cooper in the oath of office.
John Cooper, president and founder of Cooper Homes, began building in metro Atlanta in 1982 and has been a member of the Greater Atlanta HBA since the late 1980s. Cooper is an active member of the HBA; he serves as president of the DeKalb Chapter and secretary of the Greater Atlanta HBA board, was named the 2009 Chapter President of the Year, 2011 HomeAid Atlanta Builder of the Year and 2012 Builder of the Year. Since 2003, Cooper has been a member of the CPHB program has won several OBIE Awards throughout his career.
