Good morning neighbors! 👋

As we head into 2026, artificial turf continues to be a top priority for a lot of homeowners, so I wanted to drop some info to help you when choosing a contractor and to save you some money!

1️⃣ Let’s clear up the “cooler turf” myth
A lot of companies advertise their turf as “cooler turf” and charge a premium for it.
The truth? In direct Arizona summer sun, nothing stays cool 😅 — turf included.

Many of these claims come from companies that don’t actually live here and don’t understand our heat, or they don’t mind bending the truth for a buck 🤷🏻‍♂️. Supporting locally is always best anyhow 😉. What I can tell you is this: our turf does not radiate or retain heat, but no turf will stay cool at 110° in full sun. So don’t let anyone upsell you on something that won’t deliver the results they promise! ❌

2️⃣ Accurate measurements = real savings
We use digital measuring devices to ensure we’re not cutting corners or overcharging on materials or labor. Taking the time to measure correctly saves our clients hundreds — sometimes thousands — every single week.

3️⃣ A few things most homeowners don’t know:

If you care about details and a professional installation that will last for years to come, choose a team that specializes in turf, not a crew that “can” do turf.

• The base work matters more than the turf.
90% of problems come from bad prep work. This is major reason you’ll see seams from inexperienced installers.

• Correct sizing saves you thousands.
A quick measurement often eliminates unnecessary square footage.

“Does artificial turf get hot?”
“Is there cooler turf or infill?”
Two of the most common questions we get — and the short answer is yes, especially in the direct Arizona sun. Turf, like many surfaces, can get hot, but it doesn’t retain or radiate heat the way concrete or asphalt does. Shade and a quick rinse of water go a long way for the kiddos or pups that want to get out this summer.

This doesn’t apply to every household, but as you can see, some dogs couldn’t care less — happily sunbathing in 110° heat. (We’re not recommending anyone go try walking barefoot… always use caution and best judgment.)

Some companies advertise “cooler turf” or “cooler infill.” In our experience, those higher-priced upgrades don’t make a significant difference in our extreme climate. We believe your money is better spent on high-quality products that don’t rely on marketing claims — just real results.

We recently had the pleasure of replacing some worn-out turf for a fantastic client back in Gladden Farms. The new, lush green lawn is a refreshing upgrade, providing a clean and inviting space for relaxation and enjoyment!
