That first cold snap is here this weekend! Is your heat ready? 🍂

If you’re turning your heat on for the first time this season, don’t be surprised if you notice a little burning or dusty smell! 🔥

That’s usually just dust that’s settled on the heating components over the summer burning off. It’s pretty common and should go away shortly after the system starts running.

⚠️ BUT if the smell sticks around, smells like burning plastic or electrical wiring, or you notice smoke, turn the system off and give us a call. A rotten egg smell could mean a gas leak, so leave the area and contact your gas company!

A few things to check before the cold weather gets here:

🍂 Change those air filters! Dirty filters restrict airflow, make your system work harder, and can lead to expensive repairs.

🔧 Schedule your fall Precision Tune-Up! A little preventative maintenance now can catch small problems before they turn into a no-heat call on the coldest night of the year.

Most major HVAC problems don’t happen overnight. Sometimes it starts with something simple, a dirty coil, loose connection, weak capacitor, or worn part. Let it go long enough and that little problem can turn into an expensive one.

You can’t expect to be the best if you’re not willing to keep getting better.

Every year around this time, we step away for a few days and gather with other HVAC Contractors to learn, train, and get a little fire put back under us.

Taking time away isn’t always easy, but this industry never stops changing and neither can we. We owe it to our customers to keep learning, improving, and bringing the best service we can back home.

We’re back, motivated, and ready to get after it!
