Don’t sell the farm!
Farming is hard work, and a lot of folks are stuck with no one to carry on the tradition of farming. What does that leave the farmer and family to do then?
Sell the farm to a developer to turn into a neighborhood or business park?
Try to develop the land themselves?
Many people feel like these are the only options available to them.
Instead of selling the farm to developers who will bulldoze it, pave it and sell it for ten times what they paid,turn it into a wetland mitigation and protect your land for generations to come!
Wetland mitigations generate “credits” that can be sold, often for more than the land itself is worth. Hunting and fishing the land is often encouraged, and you retain ownership.
Selling the farm isn’t your only option.
