CETCON, Combustion and Environmental Testing Consultants, a leader in the specialized field of air quality testing, combustion consulting, and fired heater operator training, has an opening for our Operations / Logistics Coordinator position.
This position provides an outstanding opportunity to be part of the evolving environmental air quality and emissions testing industry with consultants who are recognized throughout the industry. Candidate will be part of a team of environmental professionals that conduct various types of tests on emission sources located at refineries, natural gas transportation facilities, electric utilities, pulp & paper mills as well as many other chemical-related and manufacturing facilities.
Position Description:
The Operations Coordinator interacts with client and plant personnel and is responsible for discussing project requirements with clients and regulators, working with the Technical Director, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators to plan and implement projects, gather site specific information, schedule manpower and resources, generate test plans, verify required equipment and supplies based on test plan, verify and coordinate site-specific safety training, verify personal protective equipment based on site specific information, coordinate the training of report writing and report review, closely monitor report output, and adjust the schedule accordingly.
The Operations Coordinator oversees scheduling logistics and unit assignments. Accordingly, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, documenting, and monitoring employee activities such as vacation requests, sick leave, absenteeism, and training.
The Operations Coordinator also procures necessary gases or other expendable supplies for use on jobs and maintains cylinder gas inventory and other similar lab management duties.
Additionally, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for hazardous shipping and must be knowledgeable of hazardous shipping procedures and will maintain a hazardous shipping endorsement.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with a science background or four years’ experience in a related field.
The candidate must be very administrative, efficient, accurate, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate needs to have mechanical abilities and the ability to work at various elevated heights in adverse weather conditions on occasion.
The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with permits and permit writing is highly desirable, and experience with QuickBooks and reviewing service agreements is a plus.

CETCON is based out of Tulsa, OK. Some overnight travel and field work is required within a 500-mile radius of Tulsa. Chemistry, mechanical, instrumentation, or combustion- related experience and/or education is highly desirable but not required.
