Our internship program is an opportunity to invest in the next generation of architects by giving them hands-on, real-world experience inside the profession. We’re looking forward to a great summer and the fresh perspectives they’ll bring to the team.

Originally from Mississippi, Timothy spent most of his life in Alabama before moving back to Mississippi in 2020. We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to the impact he will make on our team.

Outside of work, Timothy enjoys playing pickleball with his wife and is a huge movie buff who loves spending time at the theater.

🏆 COTE Award & Merit Award | Duff Center for Science and Technology Innovation

The 2025 AIA Mississippi Design Awards recognized this Ole Miss campus building with both its inaugural COTE Chapter Award and a Merit Award — a remarkable double honor. The jury praised the building's daylighting strategies, including north-facing light monitors and terracotta sunshades, along with efficient lab systems and energy recovery that reduce consumption. This project demonstrates how high-performance sustainability can enrich both function and experience at an impactful campus scale.

We are so excited for Rilee and grateful to be part of her story! 🎉 The Tiger Apprentice Program is an incredible opportunity that connects local companies with the next generation of workers. We’re so glad we participated and look forward to being partners for years to come!

This photo captures the exact moment RiLee Morrow found out she was accepted into the School of Architecture at Mississippi State University, while talking it over with her instructor, Mr. Jeff Melson. A moment we’ll never forget!

RiLee is a Drafting student at Northeast who truly goes above and beyond in every class. She’s also a Tiger Apprentice with McCarty Architects in Tupelo, gaining hands-on experience as she prepares for the next step in her journey.

We are so proud of RiLee and can’t wait to see where her talent, dedication, and hard work take her next.

Pontotoc High School students Adam Rodgers, Adriel Coh, Jayda Hall, and Tamara Garcia are shouting a big THANK YOU to McCarty Architects. The students visited their Tupelo office and learned about the daily jobs of architects and interior designers and the education and licensure it takes to work in these fields. Students were shown some of the software they use at McCarty Architects and learned about current and past design projects that McCarty has undertaken. Students were able to tour their office space and, as an added bonus, got to go on a job site that is currently underway - a new multistory NMHS medical office building in Tupelo.

At McCarty Architects, we take pride in contributing to projects that strengthen our communities. One such project was the new Police Department for the City of Oxford. The city tasked our team with revitalizing an existing facility to create a modern, functional space that meets the department’s current needs while allowing for future growth.

Throughout the design process, we gained a deep appreciation for the challenges the officers face as they work to keep Oxford safe. We’re proud that this new facility will serve as a valuable tool to support their mission and enhance their ability to protect and serve the community.

Last week, McCarty Architects hosted its first annual Student Day. Student Day is an opportunity for local high school students to visit our office and explore careers in architecture, interior design, and construction administration. We finished the day by giving the students a chance to tour one of our ongoing projects. We hope this day will spark an interest in these students, and perhaps one day they will be working with us to design buildings right here in Mississippi.
