Had a conversation with a local bank loan officer this morning. I learned that they have several loans on residential new construction that have been outstanding for going on three years. That blew my mind, thinking about the amount of interest paid.

What was the common item with these loans? Owner GC. Many banks will not loan for these types of projects. Loans reaching a third and fourth year term is the exact reason why.
