Last round of renderings before construction. 72 pages of construction documents. It was a challenging project for a solo practitioner. Possibly my most difficult solo project to date. Very proud of this one. Efficient design means quality apartments at a more affordable build price. My more than 20 years of applied construction experience means I know how things come together. It allows me to design for budget and delight. This project will be 1/2 the price of what a comparable apartment unit would cost to build. The city was ecstatic with this proposal. They loved the design and commended me on the ex*****on. The Senior Planning Department head told me he was blown away at how much I was able to fit on a very challenging lot. It isn't apparent by looking at the renderings, but I had hundreds of pages of state and local codes to account for. This project is literally designed down to the inch.
