I am not certain we will see 50 next week, but with all the snow melting, it is for sure not out of the question....

GREAT stretch of weather coming up! I dont see a ton of chances for moisture at this point.... maybe some rain/snow/slush on Thursday...

Make it a GREAT Monday!

Reminder for those who have ice dam issues:

Be sure to clear the leaves from the nooks and crannies on your roof. (Valleys, behind the chimney, etc.) This will help reduce costly ice damn removal fees by allowing the sun to warm your shingles and allow run off in the early and later days of winter.

As the winter storm system heading toward Minnesota gets closer, confidence remains high that much of central Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, will see 6 to 10 inches of wet, heavy snow this weekend.

A big thank you to all we have served. Fingers crossed on what mother nature has in mind here. This is a recipe for disaster. We need more melt before the upcoming snow next week.

Snow+wetsnow+snow+rain+snow sounds incredibly heavy.

For the cost of your deductable, you can have your ice dams serviced and prevent a major repair.
Not all insurance companies will cover a leak from an ice dam. Even repainting a room is comparable in cost.
Most problems are solved for a $500 service.
We have a few openings by friday depending on your location.

This is what we look for behind ice dams.
The home had 4 dams 10-12 feet long running up the valley and 5 ft of the dam had to be removed before we could see the standing water.
If this customer would have left this until the melt, he would have had more than just a small leak.

I would consider this dam a major concern.
Its just a unique area that asks for trouble.
Im guessing this thing in the 1st 4 pics weighed over 1000lbs. The dam above the roof line held back water in well below freezing temps. You can see the water running off in the photos.

The last 4 photos are of the other valley and the rear low pitch portions which are also areas of concern.
Slotting and draining as well as raking the snow from above likely save this home from leaking.
If you have concerns, send us photos of your home and we can typically give our opinion on the severity and pricing by the days end.
This was a 2 hr job for a customer in columbia heights.

This thing was 26 feet tall and weighed over 1000 lbs.
It started at the roofline before we took a photo.
We removed it in under an hour without a speck of damage to the vinyl siding and left nothing on the ground.
Its all about carefully causing fractures to manage the size of the pieces removed.

This one took just under an hour to remove the entire dam. It moved fast.$3-500 typically does the trick.
