Just in time for the new school year!

VMI Group, Inc. has wrapped up our work at Padua Franciscan High School in Parma, Ohio, with the new athletic facility completed and ready to welcome students back to campus.

The work is part of Padua Franciscan’s Achieving Excellence campaign. The project included a new 29,000-square-foot Athletic Center, and after it opens, the school plans to transform its existing gymnasium into a dedicated Center for Performing Arts.

From foundations and slabs to the finishing touches outside, we’re proud of the work our team put into this project and excited to see the improvements ready for the start of another school year.

"Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work." - Aristotle

When a group from VMI met with Garry Ridge earlier this year, he shared that quote with us, and it stuck. You can see why in this board-formed architectural wall. This kind of finish leaves nowhere to hide. Every board line, every form seam, every tie hole patch must match in color and texture. That level of perfection only comes from a crew that genuinely enjoys the work.

Arcadia — Shaker Heights, OH 🏗️

A former car dealership lot is becoming the anchor of Shaker's "new downtown": 255,000 SF, 141 apartments, 16,000+ SF of retail and office, and a 182-space garage tucked behind active street frontage.

By the time our crews are done, we'll have placed 4,500 cubic yards of concrete here — 25,000 SF of cast-in-place walls and 174,000 SF of flatwork. That's the part nobody sees once the brick goes up, and it's the part everything else stands on.
