Two years married! Eight years makin out!

I love my wiiiiiiiiife!

With this potentially being our last summer in Seattle for a while I’ve been trying to be mindful even through the ups and downs and despite a bit of hardship I can confidently say that this is the best time of my life so far and it’s in large part thanks to just being who she is.

A year! A year I’ve been married to ! I couldn’t be more cheesed.

Marriage hasn’t really changed anything about our relationship because we were already eternally united as Chelsax, but the institution of marriage is what you make of it and we’re making it a pretty good time.

The big aluminum L on The Monorail was design to clamp down on the cross rails and provide a strong connection. Makes it easy to ship flat and adjust or modify where the rails hang.

I finished these months ago and haven’t made time to talk about them! I call this the Monorail Record Shelf.

The L is made out of a solid piece of water jet cut aluminum and the rails are all 1/2” stress resistant steel. It’s powdercoated in house. They easily hold ~150 records in an exceedingly minimal way.

I’ve been using a prototype of this shelf for a year now and I still love it.

It’s very unlikely I’ll make more of these due to the difficulty of production but I have these 3 and if you’re interested, let me know.

I have so many things I could and should post about but I’ve been feeling deeply avoidant of putting content out for over a year. I can chalk the feeling up to many things at various phases, but it’s something I need to rectify to get a feeling of being “we’re so back baby.”

As always my rock and starting point is . These are from on our honeymoon road trip.

As we approach our 1 year I am deeply thankful for how easy and supportive our relationship is.

I did /not/ get injured here but I definitely did elsewhere on this day. I think I’ve been in some state of injured for over a year so that hasn’t helped.

Gonna do more! Gonna be vocal!

More badlands snaps. We slept on top of an immense ridge overlooking a dry thunder storm. The winds whipped our bug nets off but it was fine cuz it blew all the bugs away too.

Before the hitching we got to spend two days in the city gorging ourselves on dumplings and getting our auras photographed with some of our favorite people.

Here’s something I’ve been working on a lot lately with , I call it The Monorail, it’s a record shelf.

24” wide, made from solid aluminum and cold rolled steel, this thing mounts on your wall and will hold up to ~200 single sleeve records, but will adjust down to hold less in a real tidy manner.

I’ve got another iteration of this coming soon with some cleaner details and different colorways, though custom colors are possible.

Really curious if anyone would be interested in buying a record shelf like this. It packs flat so it could definitely be shipped.

I’m my early 20s I did a few shows with the Seattle Opera, you wouldn’t believe how many people legit commuted via the , and I’ve always loved that thing. I thought of doing it in the original Red/Blue/Cream colors to honor the monorail, but chose laser colors instead. I wanted it to be minimal and loud at the same time.

Anyway, I’ll post more “officially” over on soon, and the next version will be for sale soon, but truly looking for your thoughts.
