What we did:
Stripped down to the deck for a fresh start
Repaired damaged sheathing
Reflashed and sealed all penetrations for leak prevention

This roof took a serious beating from the hail during that recent storm in Athens. Our team stepped in to help the homeowner navigate the whole insurance restoration process, then got to work. At Vanguard, we don’t cut corners. When we handle an insurance restoration project, we go past the minimum code requirements to make sure the job lasts.

Out in Tyler, we inspected a roof where the previous crew used regular shingles on a low-slope section. This is a common mistake we see. Wind and ice worked to push water right under them, leaving ugly water stains on the interior sheetrock.

Step one was getting the roof replacement knocked out to stop the leak and prevent any further damage. We swapped those bad areas with properly sealed, color-matched roll roofing. We also re-did the chimney flashing and installed crickets to divert water from chimney penetrations.

Once the house was completely dried in, we documented the water stains for the insurance claim and repaired the interior sheetrock so it looks good as new.

A tree falling on your house is a nightmare, but getting it back together shouldn't be. We just wrapped up this restoration project for a neighbor over in Bullard, Texas, and these pictures show some of the framing, interior restoration & roofing work we did at this property.

We handled this one from the ground up to make sure it was done right:

-Framing: Rebuilding the "bones" of the house to make it solid again.
-Roofing: An algae & impact-resistant roof to keep the East Texas weather out.
-Interior: Full-service restoration to make the inside look better than before the tree hit.

Another 120 square roof we wrapped up before the ice storm is holding up well! We came out to get the neighbors roof approved and decided to check up on this beauty!

This roof was denied by insurance by 4 previous contractors, and then we came along….

Needless to say we not only got the roof on the house approved and covered, but also the garage, pool house, and all gutters/downspouts on the property!
