For this one-of-a-kind home on Long Island, Unalam manufactured the glulam curved frames, curved-beveled purlins, straight purlins, and connections that helped bring the vision to life.

Glulam does more than look good. It's helping make infrastructure projects smarter from the ground up.

Because components arrive prefabricated (and sometimes partially assembled), installation moves faster and requires less work on-site. That also means a cleaner, quieter jobsite with fewer trucks, less waste, and less disruption.

And here's another bonus: glulam is proudly made from American-grown timber, with manufacturing happening right here in the USA. As a renewable building material, it takes far fewer resources to produce than steel or concrete, while also storing carbon for the life of the structure.

Sometimes glulam is about more than structure. At Journey Church in St. Louis, these glulam beams and arches were added to an existing concrete building to bring warmth and character to the space. While they weren’t needed for structural support, they completely changed the look and feel of the interior, showing how timber can make a big visual impact.

Situated on its own peninsula in Greenwich, this unique residence features a private dock, stunning glulam beams, and a design that originally included a three-story atrium topped with a curved solarium offering 360-degree views of the harbor.

Designed by Andrew Peklo of Peklo Design & Joinery, the home incorporates handcrafted details throughout, including the front door, kitchen cabinets, vanities, and trim.

While the appearance of the home has evolved over time, Unalam glulam remains an important part of its structural composition, continuing to showcase the beauty and durability of timber construction.

These six silos stand as a reminder of the innovation and history that shaped modern dairy farming.

The Walker-Gordon Laboratory Farm was the first to use the Rotolactor in 1930, a revolutionary automated milking system capable of milking up to 50 cows at a time. The technology was so groundbreaking that it was featured at the 1939 World's Fair in New York and became a major attraction for visitors to the farm.

The farm was also home to You'll Do, Lobella, the original "Elsie the Cow." As the real-life inspiration behind Borden Dairy's iconic mascot, she traveled the country making public appearances and became one of the most recognizable advertising figures in American history.
