Hey everyone, ....... PLEASE READ..link in comments......I'm here in the Philippines now and enjoying this incredible paradise. Where i am, is a small mountain hamlet comprised of 2 clans of folks that have started this community of all family members. the Cayaya and Daligdig families settled here and through the years have grown to this wonderful hamlet called Mapalad. There is no real business here only small little stores that are comprised of food and essentials bought in the city and brought here to help folks that cant travel or need something now. It s very poor here but all the people are so kind and relaxed. This is what keeps my energy up and want to help. There is a small school with about 250 kids from kindergarten to 10th grade. There is no free lunch and the kids have to ware uniforms, also the family members are the ones that do the maintience on the buildings. Sometimes there is not enough books to go around and there is no computers on the campus. Now as being a substitute teacher, i see that they are doing the same lessons as I did for k-5 grades. Anyway I want to start a gofundme page to help get these kids have a balanced meal every 2 weeks and hope to bring this to a every week event. So please send what you can so I can help these kids with food and uniforms and maybe supplies for them as well. These people are very poor and believe me $25 can go far for a meal for a few dozen kids. Check comments for pics
