♠️ What a beautiful day for a fall clean up?!

A client we did a stone and plant install for over summer, called us back to trim down the decorative grasses and bushes before the winter sets in

A little cooler than yesterday’s weather but the sun is shining and life is great!

♠️ Today was the end…

It was a bittersweet day to be honest. We mowed the last of our properties today. We had an amazing season! We gained many new clients and retained 90% from last year!

We’ve endured malfunctions, horrendous spells of rain, grueling heat, equipment malfunctions and even had one of our push mowers break two weeks before the end…

Yet, every day, we showed up and provided excellent services for our wonderful customers!

BIG NEWS for the 2027 season, we will be expanding not only our service area, but our business! We will have two separate mowing crews so that we can cover a larger part of the region! Hiring more employees, adding equipment to ultimately grow our business and offer better and more efficient services.

But mowing isn’t the only thing that’s growing, our stone installs, mulch, excavations and plowing services will be expanding as well.

So for ALL of your home needs, no matter what season we are in, you can trust Black Spade Landscaping to get it handled!

Please, like and share this post. You never know how much of an impact it can have for a small business!!

♠️🎃 October has been an interesting month so far…

Here’s some of the stuff we’ve come across while working in clients properties

♠️ Even on Sundays we work!

Today was a desperately needed “work at home day”. We got a tree that fell in our yard trimmed up and burnt, worked on some equipment, moved things around for winter and got the garage prepped.

We are hitting leaf clean ups hard the next two weeks before the snow falls. It’s not that far away!

Had to stop and take some pics of this ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL weather. We have been very spoiled this late in the season.

Tomorrow we have a huge stone install and some # clean ups then it’s LEAVES, LEAVES, LEAVES!

We have some availability in our schedule so if you need an end of the season clean up, just shoot us a text or visit out website.

🧻 Ok, so I don’t even know where to start other than to ask, would anyone like to volunteer to get their house TP’d?

Yesterday, as my daughter and I were driving to the store she said she felt sad because we haven’t really done anything this fall and time is flying by. I’ve been so busy with work and they help mama with the toddlers and home schooling.

She said her and my oldest daughter were watching YouTube videos of these kids back in the 2000’s TP-ing houses and how fun it looked and that it was a harmless teenage prank.

That got me thinking…

How can I bond with my daughters and create a core memory they will have forever?

So here I am… asking for a volunteer. I’ll build up a story that you are some client who refused to pay Black Spade Landscaping or something and that we could get even.

I want to surprise them some night when I get home from work by saying “girls, dress in black, we’ve got a house to TP”

Who’d be up for some harmless teenage fun? Send me a message!

♠️🧡 October is a BIG month for us here at Black Spade Landscaping!

Exactly one year ago today, I left my sales job and over 14 years of being in Sales and took the biggest gamble of my life.

I bet on me.

365 Days. No boss, no clocking in, no lunch time.

Just figuring it out.

Left 40hrs a week to work 80.

Best decision of my life! Yes, it’s been a roller coaster but it’s the greatest feeling in the world. I get to see my wife and kids more. That was my deciding factor.

Last week was my daughter’s 4th birthday, next week will be exactly 4 years since we started this company. The leaves are dropping and the weather is beautiful.

So yeah, October is pretty important to us!

If you’ve ever felt like you’re destined for more and have a vision, trust me, go for it! You don’t have to have it all figured out, work through it as you go. Just never stop believing in yourself.

You’ll thank me.

Have a wonderful day and check out these awesome October stripes!!

We do have limited availability this month for stone work and leaf clean ups so reach out if you’ve been thinking about having it done and let us handle it for you!
