New re pitched rafters and osb 33'x22'. It took a bit of shimming but this will be one straight roof tomorrow. Charcoal black steel going up in the am, should be able to finish up the rest of the house by dinner time.

Early this morning I received a call from a customer, her metal roof had sustained some wind damage and was in need of an emergency repair. Showing up on the scene, just about half of her entire roof purlins and all laying on the ground and the rest was about to blow away.....The fire dept. had the road blocked off and the electric service came in on that side of the home, WOW! I temporarily bolted the roof down using 8" bolts, rope and tie straps. The whole roof will need to be redone due to improper fastening......Three layers of shingles were left down and 2x4 purlins were nail gunned with 3" nails......This shotty work could have killed somebody......Not to mention me having to go up on a 12/12 pitch in a 50 mph wind and harness off in a rush so the roof would not totally blow off and land on somebody....Thankyou shotty contractor for risking peoples lives with your b.s. work....How hard is it to hit a rafter with a 6" screw? This should have never happened! I will be back tomorrow to try to safely remove the one side and get it done right. If you have a metal roof done, insist that the contractor uses screws to attach purlins and never installs metal over that many layers of shingles....One crazy day!
