The Sales Estimator is the first face of the company to prospective clients. This role takes a customers’ goals and generates an estimate to solidify that vision. Capturing sales and exciting the clients about what our company can produce for their project will require active listening and clear communication. Creating an accurate and feasible estimate will enable us to start each project off positioned for success. Must Be Willing to cold call prospecting new customers, travel to trade shows, and set up show booths.

Estimator Responsibilities:

Explore business opportunities and attend pre-bid meetings.
Review construction drawings and bids packages
Prepare material and labor pricing from drawings.
Ensure timely completion of estimates for company review and submittal.
Manage bid pricing from vendors.
Manage material pricing from vendors.
Prepare cost analysis for PM to monitor.
Interfaces directly with the client

Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED required
4-year college degree a plus
Sales experience required

Ability to pass a drug screening & background check
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Reliable transportation with applicable insurance

We are seeking Horizontal Directional Drill crew members to join our team. Essential duties and responsibilities:

* Operates Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground conduit
* Insures safety of public and other utilities underground facilities.
* Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.
* Setup and cleanup of work site including traffic and pedestrian control.
* Reads utility locates and coordinating day lighting of these facilities.
* Insures all applicable permits and locates are complete and on site.
* Inspects the work that is in progress to insure that the workmanship conforms to specifications.
* Operates construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
* Level earth to final grade specifications.
* Operates vehicles and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified.
* Performs proper maintenance by greasing, oiling and making minor repairs on equipment.
* Leads teams in the field effectively and efficiently as needed and directed by the supervisor.

Locators Responsibilities Include

* Confirm bore path with install foreman and drill operator, including walking the bore path.
* Perform job site analysis including completion of paperwork.
* Insure there are proper clearances to install the product per standards.
* Record the depth of the tool head as required.
* Insure the drill head is in a good position at the exit pit to connect the product.
* Oversee laborers and/or crew member's work and monitor time usage.

Mixer Operator/Laborer

* Evaluate soil conditions to determine the correct product and ration to use.
* Operate "mud" mixing sytems
* Assist in head changes
* Operate pothole machine.

Job Requirements

* Must complete a background check and pass a drug screen
* Valid drivers license with clean driving record
* Prefer Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
* Must be willing to get a Class A CDL if hired without
* Experience operating a Vermeer Horizontal Drill Machine
* Experience operating a Falcon F2/F5 Locator
* Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams for project build process.
* Willing to travel to out of state locations and work outdoors in all types of weather.
* Willing to work overtime as required.

Gateway Signal Engineering will provide On-the-Job Training.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 to $28.00 /hour
