A rodent station can look fine from the outside and still need attention inside.

Insects can feed on the bait, and dirt or moisture can make it less appealing to rodents. That’s why we open, inspect, clean, and refresh each station when needed—so the equipment protecting your business remains ready to do its job.

When was the last time you looked behind the overgrowth along your fence line?

Dense vegetation can hide rat burrows and travel paths while making those areas harder to inspect and monitor. Keeping fence lines, rear lots, and building edges cut back gives you—and us—a clearer view of what’s happening around the property.

As the weather cools, rodents naturally begin looking for food, water, and shelter. The good news is that there are a few simple steps you can take to help keep them outside where they belong.

Take a few minutes this week to:
✅ Check your door sweeps and weather stripping
✅ Seal gaps and cracks around your home's exterior
✅ Store food in sealed containers
✅ Remove clutter and debris near your foundation

A little prevention now can help you avoid unwanted rodent activity later in the season.

If you're unsure where rodents may be getting in, we're always happy to answer questions and help point you in the right direction.

What happens during a commercial rodent-control service?

During our service visits, we open each station, check for signs of feeding, clean it, replace the bait when needed, and inspect the surrounding area. What we find helps us understand where rodents are active and whether the service needs to be adjusted.

Consistent monitoring is what keeps these stations useful over time.

The cooling temperatures brings with it outdoor insects like cave crickets looking for shelter and moisture, usually in crawlspace's and basements.

It's why homeowners find more activity inside this time of year than outside.

Fall pest activity doesn’t look the same in every home.

One homeowner might hear scratching in the walls, while another starts noticing crickets in the basement, spiders around the windows, or cockroaches in areas where they were not seen before.

If you’re noticing pest activity, our team can inspect your home, identify what is causing the problem, and recommend the appropriate treatment and prevention steps that's right for you.

You’re used to seeing bumblebees around the flowers in your yard. Here’s a view you don’t get every day: their nest tucked into a home’s insulation.

We used an inspection camera to get a closer look. You can see the bees moving around inside, with the insulation surrounding the nest.

When you notice bees coming and going from your house, it’s natural to wonder what’s behind that opening. Being able to see where they’ve nested helps us understand what’s happening inside.

This is what cave-cricket activity can look like when the conditions are right.

Cave crickets prefer cool, dark, damp areas, which is why they are commonly found in basements, crawl spaces, garages, and storage areas. Seeing one cricket is different from finding several concentrated along the same wall or in the same section of a basement.

When we inspect a home, we look at where the activity is concentrated, the surrounding moisture conditions, and the areas the crickets may be using for shelter. That helps us address more than just the crickets that are visible.

Ivy can add character to a home, but when it's left unchecked, it can also create conditions that pests take advantage of.

Dense vegetation against the exterior can:
• Provide shelter for insects and spiders
• Hold moisture against the building
• Make it easier to hide entry points
• Give rodents cover as they travel along the structure

That doesn't mean every ivy-covered home has a pest problem—but regular trimming and inspections can help reduce the risk.

Have questions about pest prevention around your home? We're happy to help.
