A tight site. A complicated roof. One cohesive home.
This client came to us looking for more living space, additional garage and storage space, and an enhanced outdoor living area — all while making the new work feel like it had always belonged to the home.
The challenge was the existing architecture. Multiple rooflines, a constrained lot, and setback requirements meant there wasn’t much room for guesswork.
We began by 3D laser scanning the existing home and site conditions, then used the point-cloud data to create an accurate 3D as-built model. Combined with the property and site information, that model became the foundation for developing the site plan, floor plan, addition massing, and new roof geometry.
From there, we created 3D visualizations showing the proposed addition, outdoor living spaces, and existing home together — allowing the owners and their builder to understand the project before construction began.
That meant better information for pricing, fewer unknowns during construction, and confidence that the addition would work with the home rather than being attached to it.
The result is more than additional space. It’s a home that feels complete.
