This is a special little cabin. It is hidden in the Montana backwoods, off grid and off the beaten path. We built two of these cabins, each with a slightly different character.
For this one, we stretched our pre fab chops by ordering a pre cut European glu lam package for the roof system and pre built the walls in our yard with siding and windows installed. It came together beautifully with a coat of plaster and some white oak flooring on the inside.
Big thanks to all of our subcontractors for being willing to venture out into the hinterlands to do a small but interesting project.

The interior of the Gilbert house maximizes space efficiency. At only 1800ft2 it has everything a small family needs, and with the help of the floor to ceiling glass it still feels spacious. From the art work to the monkey bars to the wall paper our clients brought their full personalities into the design. This was a fun one!
