It is surprising to see the amount of damage that can be caused by just one broken concrete tile! One broken/cracked tile caused dry rot damage to sixteen square feet of plywood roof sheathing.

Altadena is set to host “The Great Altadena Poppy Festival” this Saturday, April 18, a free, daylong event organized by the Pasadena Jaycees. This unique festival invites the community to embark on a scenic self-guided drive through picturesque California poppy fields, while simultaneously offering crucial support to small businesses in Altadena that have been striving to recover from the impacts of the 2025 Eaton Fire. The festival aims to re-engage the community with local storefronts and celebrate the transformation of fire-affected landscapes into vibrant wildflower blooms, inspired by the grassroots Great Altadena Poppy Project.
