We’re hiring! Carpenter or Carpenter Helper
Great Kitchens & Baths is looking for someone to join our team and work alongside our Lead Carpenter on kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects in the Muncie area.
We’re open to hiring at different experience levels. If you have residential remodeling or carpentry experience, we’d like to hear from you. We’d also consider a dependable, hands-on person who is comfortable using hand and power tools safely and wants to learn the trade.
Our work involves more than construction skills. We work in clients’ homes, so we value people who take pride in quality workmanship, communicate well, treat the home with care, and enjoy being part of a team.
We’re a family-owned company that has served East Central Indiana since 1961. We’re looking for someone who wants to keep learning, grow their skills, and build a lasting place on our team.
Interested? Send us a private message on Facebook, call Great Kitchens & Baths at 765-288-2737 and ask for John, or email [email protected]. Tell us a little about your experience and the kind of role you’re looking for. Please share this with someone who might be a good fit!

A beautiful kitchen should also make everyday life easier.

For this Yorktown remodeling project, improving the way the kitchen functioned was every bit as important as updating how it looked.

Because one of the homeowners experiences vertigo and works best with a left-to-right progression, we redesigned the main work area to move naturally from prep space, to the range, and then to the sink and cleanup zone.

Previously, the range was located in the island, requiring a lot of turning back and forth while preparing meals. By relocating it, removing the pantry closet, moving the refrigerator and making the island slightly smaller, we created a kitchen that feels more open and is much easier to move through.

The finished space works beautifully for this busy couple, who enjoy preparing—and cleaning up after—meals together nearly every day.

Good design isn’t only about creating a beautiful room. It’s about understanding the people who use it and designing a space that works better for their lives. 🤍

Great design doesn’t stop at the kitchen and bath. ✨

A few weeks ago, we shared the kitchen from this beautiful new-construction home. Today, we’re taking you through some of the other spaces we had the opportunity to design and complete with Shiloh cabinetry and Cambria quartz countertops.

From living-room built-ins and a fully customized home office to a hardworking laundry room and organized mudroom drop zone, each space was thoughtfully planned to make the entire home more functional, organized and beautiful.

When we’re involved early in a new-home project, we can help plan how cabinetry, storage and work surfaces will function together throughout the home—not just in the kitchen and bathrooms.

If you’re planning to build, we’d love to meet with you and talk through all the spaces in your new home. Or, if you’re considering remodeling an office, laundry room, mudroom or living area in your current home, let’s talk!

A bathroom that feels completely different—because it is. ✨

The original bathroom was dated and divided into several smaller, disconnected areas. By reconfiguring the layout, we created a more open and functional space with two separate vanities, significantly more storage and a spacious tile shower.

The new shower features dramatic 24" × 48" tile, a rain showerhead and handheld shower. Cambria quartz countertops and Kohler fixtures throughout bring a warm, coordinated finish to the entire room.

This project is a great example of how thoughtful design can do more than update the finishes—it can completely change how a space looks, feels and functions every day.

A kitchen designed to feel right at home from day one.

We recently had the opportunity to design and install the cabinetry and countertops for this beautiful new-construction kitchen. Shiloh Cabinetry, Cambria MonTaaj quartz countertops and full-height splash, and a warm wood island come together to create a space that feels bright, welcoming and timeless.

From the expansive island and thoughtfully planned storage to the tucked-away coffee bar and custom built-in, every area was designed around both everyday living and entertaining.

We’ll be sharing more finished spaces from this home in the coming weeks!
