I did a thing! Last spring, , reached out to see if I could bring her vision of a book cover to life through illustrations, but it didn’t stop there! She asked if I wanted to be a contributing author and write a part of my story as one of the chapters. If you read my chapter, you’ll learn a little about my story and how challenging it can be for me to put myself out there. I was determined to step into this opportunity, though!

A little before and after…

This building sat vacant for 20 years. From the floors that were rotted, you could stand on the third floor if you even dared, and could see all the way down to the first floor.

The butterfly has been something that God’s been using in my life on the regular in recent months to remind me of His promises.

As a caterpillar emerges from a cocoon, the old life is gone. If any piece of the cocoon is held on to, it would be holding the butterfly back from truly being what God intended it to be.

There’s a lot of things that I’m learning to strip and leave at the feet of Jesus. It’s not comfortable, not fun and definitely hard but in these moments are when I’m learning to dig deep in faith and lean in to what God’s trying to teach me.

The butterfly emerges only after the intended time in the darkness of the cocoon.

His timing is always on time. Choosing to trust the process.

Wherever this finds you, may this encourage you that God is at work even when you don’t always see it in the moment.

I’ve never shared this part of my journey on this grid but when I am not creating or designing, I love to help and serve those who are in the market to sell or purchase property.

It can be overwhelming and a lot to walk through this process, so it’s been such a gift to be able to journey along side clients every step of the way to tackle it together!

There has been so much going on behind the scenes lately that it feels like if I shared it would be like a pinball machine and it would be so hard to follow. 🤪

But God…

When God is at work, our testimonies can be a part of a bigger story that can’t not be shared.

One part of the story I need to share with you…

Rosie the Reindeer

Megan ( the author) and I have partnered this year to share Rosie far and wide.

In early spring, we both signed with a literary agent who is currently pitching our book to countless publishing companies to see who might be the best fit.

While under submission, we are not allowed to sell the book.

We can, however, sell any other merchandise and still read the book to groups.

We have SO many ideas, visions and creative twists that we can’t wait to share but we are currently in the waiting zone.

This Christmas season we are visiting 3 schools in Missouri and 3 schools in Georgia for to perform the story and share some of the illustration process!

We have created a few new designs for merchandise this year not to make any money but to cover the cost of travel and the opportunity to share Rosie’s story with so many more students and encourage them to shine bright in the gifts they can offer this world.
