Here's what we found during a routine inspection. 👀

That's exposed step flashing — the metal that's supposed to be tucked under the siding at the wall to keep water out. When it's left exposed like this, it's not doing its job. Water can work its way in at exactly the spots where a roof is most vulnerable.

This is exactly why a close inspection matters. Some issues just aren't visible from the ground.

One of our sales reps recently experienced the process from the other side of the table. After helping dozens of homeowners get the top-tier roof they deserve, Colton got to experience the transformation on his own home first-hand.

Another finished roof, another homeowner protected for the long haul. 🏠

Richard's shingles had lost their adhesive seal and were lifting in the wind — a few had already torn off completely, leaving parts of his roof exposed. Add in hail damage that stripped the granules across every facet, and water was starting to seep in and cause problems.

We replaced the roof with Owens Corning Duration shingles in Williamsburg Gray, added bullet boots with critter guard on every pipe pe*******on, and sealed it all with Titanium PSU30 ice and water shield — this is a roof built to handle everything Missouri throws at it.

One of our crew members got a surprise during a recent roof replacement — a frog trapped in a standard pipe jack. After safely relocating our hoppy friend, it got us thinking about why we recommend Bullet Boots with critter guards.

Five weeks ago, we gathered our whole team — Eldon, Columbia, Springfield, and Kansas City — for our quarterly State of the Company.

We're deep in the middle of busy season now, and it's easy to get heads-down and just grind. So today felt like a good day to look back at that one. Because in the middle of all the roofs, the schedules, and the storm calls, it's worth remembering why we do this in the first place: it's fun, and it's worth doing.

SoC is where we celebrate wins, get a shared vision for what's next, and — just as important — play some genuinely ridiculous team games with people we don't normally get to work alongside. Office folks paired up with field crews. New faces meeting people they'd only heard about. A lot of laughing.

Busy season will still be there tomorrow. Today we're just grateful for the team behind it. And speaking of — have a great weekend, everyone. Go have some fun. 🙌
