Our crew is currently in high gear installing and connecting 1250mcm aluminum direct-bury cable running from the Tesla battery systems to the substation as part of a utility-scale energy project.

These photos show the scale of the work — from trenching and cable placement to the final connections helping bring the system together. It’s pretty incredible to get a behind-the-scenes look at a project like this.

Even more special — the expected completion of this project will also mark the retirement of our General Foreman, Mike Pitcavage. What a way to close out a career. Great work by Mike and the entire crew out on site!

WBE takes pride in being safety focused and our field safety team goes wherever they’re needed. Sometimes it's even out of state and not the best of weather.

Dan has been part of the WBE team since 1990, bringing decades of field knowledge and experience to the crews he works alongside every day.

The entire WBE safety team are visiting jobsites every day to help ensure our crews have the knowledge, awareness, and support to work safely in any environment.

As we kick off Construction Safety Week, we’re focusing on what it means to recognize and identify hazards, speak up, and take action before something becomes an accident.

Our safety team is out on jobsites this week, as they are throughout the year, supporting our crews and reinforcing the work practices that ensure everyone stays safe.

Our Ownership Engagement Team put together a little bit of tie dye fun for the WBE kids that wanted to participate and all they had to bring was their imagination.

This award highlights the impactful work of our Giving Committee and Random Acts of Kindness initiatives, which are dedicated to supporting the communities we serve.

Members of the WBE team were proud to attend the event and accept the award alongside other inspiring community leaders and organizations, as well as two exceptional youth honorees, all of whom share a commitment to strengthening the North Bay.

This honor reflects the heart of our team and our ongoing dedication to making a positive impact beyond the work we do every day.

We’re excited to welcome Dorian Pappas to WBE as a Senior Traffic Estimator.

Dorian brings over a decade of experience working with traffic signals and the technology that helps keep our roadways running safely and efficiently. He has a real passion for the work, and we’re glad to have him on the team.

Outside of work, Dorian enjoys golfing, snowboarding, music production, movies — and, as he puts it, “generally just being able to relax.”
