A customer reported that their AC/Heating system blower motor would not shut off, even when the thermostat was switched off. We had previously performed work on this unit, including replacing a fuse on the control board, replacing the flame sensor, and checking the ignitor. Upon arrival onsite, the blower motor continued to run. We discovered that the limit safety had tripped, and once reset, the motor shut off. Additionally, we replaced the thermostat and filter. Customer called and said: we don't have power to several outlets. After finding a tripped circuit breaker. We reset the breaker. It immediately made a loud arching noise and tripped again. After opening several junction boxes. We found an outlet above the dropped down ceiling . The outlet was being fed from two different power sources. We disconnect and capped the second source.
