Greetings,

On occasions, we encounter roofing projects that reveals defective plywood decking. Usually, it entails a 3/8” decking that should not have ever been in the building codes as an acceptable standards. However, when encountered, we follow a code of ethics to correct the problem by removing and replacing it. One of the negative factors of not properly ventilating, causes additional heat to build up, and a lack of ability to release moisture. That’s why it is a standard practice to add roof-over ridge vents to every one of our project to alleviate the problem.
Don’t let the competition fool you and sell you the aluminum ridge vent. I see customers time and time again having to pay to get them replaced or the item is the root cause of a leak. Also, an added benefit of the roof-over ridge vent is the release of heat from your home attic space. You will not believe how much your interior , especially your bedroom will be cooler.

Porch Roof - This is the after picture to fix the shingle roof whereas the shingles were installed on a roof deck that was less than 2/12 pitch. Roofing was converted to a flat roof process. EPDM, 20 mil with a 20 year warranty.
