Well this is one reason why niches do not belong on exterior walls. The siding company shot two nails through the tile while doing work on the dormer. Luckily the homeowner had an extra tile so I could easily fix the damage.
If you’re getting a bathroom quote, ask the contractor to put a niche on an exterior wall. If they don’t talk you out of that idea, do not hire them!

They spent 25 years with the builder grade 4x4 tiles. It was time for an update! They decided on marble tile and loved that I spent extra time matching colors and veins as closely as I could to keep a nice flow from one tile to the next. She said she just wanted to pull up a chair and admire the beautiful shower and tub surround I created for them. I love helping people love their space again!!

The homeowners were originally thinking a horizontal accent border with the elongated hexagon glass tile. The tile was pricy so they wanted to utilize as much of the box as they could. I talked them into the vertical accent, calculated it precisely to maximize the width, and they couldn’t be happier with the end result. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the tile as you approach the bathroom.

2026 is off to a great start! First project in the books nearly brought the homeowner to tears. Good tears of course!! As she stepped into the room to see the bathroom, she let out a gasp and professed how beautiful if turned out. It’s a rather simple design, but well put together between myself and Mitchell’s Home Services.
A larger shower, no more massive unused jetted tub, larger vanity and storage cabinets are just a few of the changes to this master suite. Out with builder grade products, instead - loaded with customizations and personal touches.

Wrapped up the year with two final backsplashes. 2025 has been an incredible blessing! I love what I do, and people see it! I never thought something I taught myself to do 18 years ago (because I couldn’t afford to pay someone to do it for me) would turn into a successful business. The leap of faith into the construction industry from the bar/restaurant industry was the best decision I ever could have made for myself and my family. When you are passionate about something, the money will follow! Thank you to all who have trusted my hands to be a part of your projects, and also to those who continue to share my name. May all of you be incredibly blessed in 2026!
