To the right is what an anode rod from your water heater should look like, and to the left is what happens when anode rods corrode and stop working. Anode rods attract the sediment and corrosive elements (like minerals in your water) so that they corrode the anode rod and not the inside of your water heater. Replacing your anode rod every 3 to 5 years can protect the life of your water heater. Cienega Plumbing is here to maintain and services your water heater needs. Give us a call.
