Our Public Works Department is dedicated to keeping our community safe! The department has begun treating for mosquitoes within the city limits. We can only treat bodies of water on city property; therefore, please pick up mosquito pellets at our Public Works Department for your personal property within the city limits.

According to the CDC, mosquitos can spread diseases such as Zika virus, West Nile virus, Chikungunya, dengue, and malaria. Although people may not become sick after a bite from an infected mosquito, some people have mild, short-term illnesses or (rarely) severe or long-term illnesses.

This was a recent project. It really transformed this courtyard. At the start there were just some weeds and a few unsightly plants. Now they have added a "room with a view" to their home.

Here are a few pictures of a patio, retaining wall, and landscape we recently installed. I have to say that zorro zoysia is my new favorite grass.

For your consideration, We would like to share a current issue we are experiencing.

My father was recently interviewed by the Valdosta daily times regarding his political views from a local perspective along with a few others.
Now a bit of background on my father is that he is a veteran and retired from work with the federal government. He was in the army and served in Germany and South Korea.
His interview was in the Sunday paper this past week along with his photo, and he gave his honest opinion regarding a few current issues including how he thought President Trump was doing and what he thought of the proposed wall.
The caveat to this is that my father and I have the same first and last name and we have had some clients ( who obviously didn’t look hard at the photo nor read the personal details of the interviewee ) mistakenly think it was I. One client then fired us because they said “ they cannot do business with a company that believes we should build a wall”.
One of the many things that makes this country so great is the freedom of speech and everyone has a right to it. My father and I don’t 100% agree on everything political but I will stand by his right to have the ability to stand up and give his opinion on current issues that affect our country.
And to the client that felt the need to release us based on that issue, If you feel the need to only do business with companies that you agree with politically, I would suggest look first at big business instead of small business’s that reinvest in “our community “ and donate locally.

It’s best to set reclaimed brick in the same way you would typically set pavers. If you mortar them in, then you run the risk of cracking due to freezing. Consider this when planning your Landscape.

I’d say that you can never go wrong with brick when choosing what material to use in a hardscape. It’s classic, durable, multiple pattern choices, and often times the colors in reclaimed brick will work with the colors on your home.
