We Care. We Lead.
Recently, Valley Corp Vice President Jeff Grady and Senior Project Manager Tanner Almery traveled to Washington, D.C. to represent Nebraska's utility contractors at NUCA's annual Washington Summit. Jeff also serves as the current president of NUCA of Nebraska, and the two went to make sure Nebraska's congressional delegation understands what is at stake for our state's water and wastewater infrastructure.
At the center of their conversations was the State Revolving Fund, the federal program that finances clean water lines, sanitary sewers, and storm systems across Nebraska. A current budget proposal would cut that funding by nearly 90 percent. That is a proposal, not a final decision. Our elected representatives appreciated learning our perspectives as leaders in the construction industry.
Projects right here in our own state depend on this funding, from wastewater work in Plattsmouth to lead service line replacements across the Omaha metro.
We are proud to keep showing up for Nebraska.
