Hendren Custom Homes

To everyone who came out to walk through the Yosemite, thank you. You stood on the front porch, stopped under the archways, ran a hand along the cabinetry, and asked the kind of questions that told us you really noticed the details. That’s the best part of this whole thing for us. A home is built to be lived in and shared, and watching our NW Indiana neighbors fill these rooms meant more than any trophy.

None of this happens alone. A custom home is the work of many skilled hands, and we’re proud to build alongside the best in the region:

Alexis Beckwith, who designed the interior, exterior, and finish details of this home
Cheryl Stoner | Photographer & ContentCreator 📍NWIndiana and Ash Wittmer for capturing it all so beautifully
Tonia Rae, our realtor partner, for championing this home from day one

Our motto has always been “All Things Are Possible.” This year, a whole community proved it. We’re grateful to be part of it.

If you walked through the Yosemite and started picturing your own forever home, let’s talk about it. Every Hendren home starts with a private discovery call.

“We’re painting all 2,000 square feet of the basement chocolate brown.”

Not every builder takes that news calmly. Mike Hendren trusted the vision, and that basement won the Unique Feature award at the NWI Parade of Homes. It’s one of four honors the Yosemite earned, along with Best Overall Home.

Paired with just the right warm lighting, those deep walls glow instead of closing in. The space holds a golf simulator, a full bar and a quiet reading nook for the children. Watch Mike’s reaction, then see how designer brought it all together.

Would you have said yes to the brown?

For our first Parade of Homes, the Yosemite won four awards: Best Overall Home, Best Craftsmanship, Best Use of Space, and Best Unique Feature.
We couldn’t be happier.

This build took late nights, steady focus, and a team that cared about every detail. To see that work appreciated and recognized means a great deal to us.

We partnered with the best in the region to design, build, and document the Yosemite. In the coming weeks, with the help of , , and , we’ll share what we’ve put together: the details, the people behind them, and the thinking and decisions that shaped the build.

Thank you to everyone who toured the Yosemite, to the judges who came through and recognized the work, and to the NWI Home Builders Association for the opportunity.

There’s a reason people say a great bathroom changes everything.

It’s the first room you walk into in the morning and the last one you leave at night. It should feel like yours — completely, intentionally, unapologetically yours.

At Hendren Custom Homes, we build bathrooms that work as hard as the rest of your day demands — and feel as good as the escape you’ve been craving.

👉 Custom showers designed around how you actually decompress.
👉 Radiant heated floors that take the edge off NW Indiana’s winter mornings.
👉 Natural stone, custom tile, and finishes that feel luxurious without feeling cold.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or finally tackling the remodel you’ve been putting off — your sanctuary is closer than you think.
