Brandon, since discovering Red Clay Strays music last year I am noticing a number of vocal artists who are ... in my mind ... creating some of the (relevant to today) set to music messages which convey a true to life thought WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!

Keep it up, my friend and brother. You are still strumming my chords.

GOOD STUFF! THIS is why my work was never a drudgery. I ENJOYED my work. I deLIGHTed in helping my clients design and build their dreams. Although retired, I STILL RECEIVE CALLS at (479)474-1346. This was my first phone number after being Honorably Discharged from the USARMY in 1974. When business calls took over my off duty hours, I spent a good bit of time talking to Southwestern Bell about an easy number for friends and family who would NEED a memorable number to bump the old one out of their noggins. We settled on (479)471-8111 and that was our personal number until I retired about 7 years ago. I wanted to keep my hands occupied in assisting old and new friends and clients with their construction needs. Verizon had bought out Alltel and AT&T had bought SWBELL. I wanted to keep my original personal, then business, number as my cell number and lose all other phones. THAT WAS NOT AS EASY AS IT SOUNDS!!! They could not reassign an existing number and If I closed and relinquished that 474-1346 number, AT&T could not guarantee me they could hold it, no matter if it was only minutes. It had to be done on a 3 way call with myself, AT&T and Verizon. That was nearly a one hour call ... but I AM a patient man ... when patience is required.

I LOVE THE FACT THAT I STILL RECEIVE BUSINESS CALLS. I LOVE referring potential clients to tried and true TOP DRAWER PROFESSIONAL CONTRACTORS with whom I have worked for several decades.

Sheila and I listen, twice daily, to the Gideon Bible App, which is FREE in 2366 languages and dialects. This plan keeps our minds in sync with brothers and sisters all over the planet and works toward keeping us in tune with the will of God. We also read aloud, several daily devotions to one another.

All through the day I see hundreds of things in which I see the hand of God. And yet ... somehow ... I consistently miss the mark ... failing to perform, with excellence, the tasks God has assigned me. 'I' am not up to the task. My inadequacy is often overwhelming.

And then a friend sends a note of encouragement.

A friend is a mighty good possession!
