A bit of TIG on a stainless flat top last Saturday night. Pain in the butt with all the grease that kept coming up through the seams, but this is a good customer and a good guy so it's worth grinding all those tungstens.

Made a lot more progress on my weld trailer, just a few more pieces of metal to finish the floor, and a couple of tie downs for random stuff.. maybe a couple of lead holders, but we'll see about that.

Putting the machine in and out of my truck with an engine hoist was getting kind of ridiculous, so I made a welding trailer. A little bit further to go before it's done but I'm getting there.

On this page, I try really hard not to share anything that isn't work or welding related, but I feel like this is, in a way, work related. And I'll tell you the reasoning behind it, and you'll understand right off the bat if you've got a family. Be it dangerous, hard, inconvenient, be it whatever; providing for and keeping your babies safe will lead you to do a whole lot of things that you wouldn't otherwise do. Even the animals know it.

Using part of my Sunday to get a little more progress on the welding cart. This is my first time TIG welding with this machine, and as far as I know it's not necessarily designed to TIG weld with. I'm also using the rest of the 98/2 gas I had leftover from the stainless mig job instead of pure argon, and I was also just powering through all of the paint and porcelain coating on the salvaged steel. Considering all of the factors I let work against me, guess it don't look too bad but there will be a grinder with a tiger paw in the near future.
