Anyone can dump gravel… but that doesn’t always fix the problem.

If your driveway is getting rough, full of potholes, or washing out, just adding stone usually only helps for a short time.

What I do different:
• Rework and level the base
• Fix low spots and drainage
• Then add fresh stone where it actually needs it

You still get new gravel
👉 but it actually lasts

I also offer straight delivery if that’s all you need.

But this is actually one of the most important steps.

This driveway had multiple potholes starting and the surface was getting uneven. Instead of just adding stone, I loosened everything up so it could be reshaped and leveled back out properly.

That’s what helps keep the potholes from coming right back.

Most people think they just need more gravel… but that’s not always the case.

There are two completely different approaches when it comes to a driveway:

Reconditioning
This is where I:
• Loosen up the existing surface
• Rework the shape and grading
• Fix low spots and drainage

👉 This fixes the actual problem

Adding Stone
This is simply:
• Bringing in new gravel
• Spreading it out evenly

👉 This improves appearance and adds material

⸻

The difference is simple:

If you skip reworking the base and just add stone…
you’re usually just covering up the problem.

⸻

This driveway was a good example:

The base was still solid, just getting thin and slightly uneven.

So we:
• Smoothed everything out
• Then added fresh stone on top

End result = clean, smooth, and done the right way

Added fresh stone, shaped it back out, and cleaned it up.

Not every driveway needs to be torn up… sometimes it just needs the right touch.

But that’s not all I do.

I also do garden tilling, land leveling, yard repair, and a lot of the “cleanup” work people don’t always know who to call for.

Quick driveway tip for anyone with gravel:

If you’re starting to see potholes form, don’t just fill the hole with stone.

Most of the time the base underneath has already sunk. If you just dump stone in, the pothole will come right back.

The fix is reshaping the drive and packing the base again before adding new stone.

That’s why some driveways last years and others need repaired every season.

Spring is coming up soon so if your driveway didn’t survive winter very well, now is the time to get it back in shape.
