A Field Service Technician is responsible for performing field tests on the clients’ homes to determine their energy efficiency. These tests include a blower door test and a duct test. A few of the main duties of a field service technician include performing energy efficiency tests on the client’s home, setting up the equipment, troubleshooting the equipment, building relationships with the customer, and following company procedures. They also have to create reports of the customer service calls.
A home energy audit, also known as a home energy assessment, is the first step to assess how much energy a home or business consumes. It will evaluate what measures can be taken to make the property energy efficient. An assessment will show compliance with national standards to enable a significant saving of money over time.
This is an exciting opportunity to get a start on a career. As an assistant rater, you will setup and assist in the field equipment and testing procedures. We go into existing homes as well as new construction, setup equipment, which is then used to test the energy efficiency of the home. You need to be able to move ladders and equipment with care and safety. Up to 50 pounds lifting will be required. You will need to feel comfortable on ladders and in residential construction areas.

Responsibilities
• Create reports of the customers they serviced that day
• Follow all of the company's procedures
• Demonstrate how to use the equipment
• Troubleshoot any problems the customers are having
• Meet all of the appointments in a given day
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
• Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
• Great communication skills to work with customers
• Amazing problem solving skills
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) experience
• Basic math skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
