This fireplace played a pivotal role in our company.
We built this fireplace for the 2021 street of dreams.
1.This was the second fireplace I have ever built.
2.We were given an impossible timeline.
3. I had a new born at home
The builder of this house reached out to me and asked if I could build him a show stopper fireplace. I said yes, and then had to figure it out real quick. We had days, before the street of dreams began, my brother Aaron and I got to work and put in 16-18 hour days to pull off the deadline. We met our deadline and the builder asked us to build him 12 stone columns. The show already begun, so we had to switch to night shift and work 5pm-7am.
I remember drinking my 3rd Red Bull and being so exhausted at 4:30 am that I couldn’t lay stone properly and my younger brother told me to go take a nap. I planned to wake up in 15 mins and woke up as the sun was coming up at 6:30am.
I felt like such a failure that I wasn’t able to just push on through.
After a couple weeks of this. The project was done. Total, we built 3 fireplaces , 14 columns and 4 accent walls on this project.
In hindsight, that was insanity! But in the moment, I didn’t know it so I just gave it my all.
Fast forward 5 years and I look back at all the awesome projects that we got to be a part of! All the awesome people we met along the way!
It’s been amazing and looking forward to all that 2026 has in store!
