Portland’s push toward middle housing is reshaping the future of urban development. According to the City of Portland, more than 1,400 middle housing units and ADUs were permitted between 2021 and 2024 following the Residential Infill Project zoning changes, with many of those projects concentrated in inner east Portland.

Projects like Morrison are part of that momentum—bringing thoughtfully designed multifamily housing into existing neighborhoods through efficient planning, disciplined ex*****on, and quality construction.

We’re underway at our newest project on Southeast Morrison in Portland—a six-unit residential development currently progressing through insulation, exterior siding, and utility trenching.

As the build moves into the next phase, the project is beginning to take shape both inside and out. Developments like this reflect Aker’s continued focus on efficient urban infill, thoughtful layouts, and disciplined ex*****on from the ground up.
