We got a late night emergency call for a homeowner whose bedroom and hallway floors were completely buckling. The culprit? A single, slow drip on an older emergency shut-off valve hidden under a bathroom sink.

​Because it was a slow leak, it went unnoticed for months soaking the subfloor, growing mold, and ruining the flooring throughout the house.

​We stopped the leak that night, and came back the next day to proactively replace every old valve and supply line in the house so she never has to worry about it again. (Here’s the pile of old ones we pulled out!).

Ripping out the old to make way for the new!

​This week we tackled a major residential plumbing overhaul removing an old, corroded cast iron drain stack and repiping it entirely with clean, modern ABS.

​Cast iron served its purpose for decades, but over time, it scales up, narrows your pipes, and inevitably starts to crack and leak. Upgrading to code-compliant ABS restores proper flow and protects the home's crawlspace from hidden water damage.

Here are some photos from a recent repipe I completed. While drilling through the cinder blocks for an outdoor sink, I spotted something in the rubble. I reached in and pulled out an old matchbook! You can see some numbers written on it 66.00 - 5.60 = 60.40 My guess is that someone originally building this house back in the 1940s or 50s was doing some quick math to calculate their hours for the week, maybe deducting their lunch breaks! Pretty cool to find a little piece of history like that so many years later.

Found a nasty leak caused by a defective meter union and an improper installation. We excavated the site, replaced the failed components with new PEX-A piping, and got the water main back in top shape!
