Been pushing hard working 7 days a week getting stuff done. Had a run it at one of the apartment buildings I mow in Trotwood today, this lady yells at me for mowing because it's stirring up her allergies. I pack my stuff up midway thru and leave. That being said I've already spoken to the landlord and I told them I won't be treated like dirt from an ungrateful tenant and the landlord apologized for her actions. I tell this story to make this statement I'm about one more person away from pulling a stunt like that to cutting Sunday's out all together. I have better things to tend to then cranky and ungrateful people.

Looks like it'll be a busy few days ahead getting caught up from the holiday and rain yesterday and today. I will be working to get everyone mowed and looking good. Thankfully between Sunday Memorial Day and Tuesday I had 14 places mowed already and 6 yards of mulch installed!

Happy Memorial Day. Remember what the day is about.

Public Service announcement or more like wishful thinking please people quit tossing your masks out, I'll mow over them as I consider them a bio hazard. Also if you feel compelled to drink and drive quit chucking your empties out along Meeker Rd in Butler Twp, my blades don't like it.

Happy Monday to everyone, we hope that everyone had a great Easter weekend. This week kicks off our official start to the 2021 mowing season. If you call in to check to see that you're on the list please just text or leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Our goal is to have everyone mowed this week that needs it. Again thank you for your support and business.

Good morning to everyone, with nice weather upon us it can be tough not wanting to get out and plant flowers and what not. We want to caution that it's still too early for that, this week alone we have Wednesday and Thursday with night temps forecasted in the low to mid 20s and daytime highs in the low to mid 40s. A good rule of thumb is plant around mother's day.

Good afternoon everyone, it's snowing/sleeting here at our shop on National rd in Vandalia. With the snow events as they're upon us, from an amateur stand point I like to throw my predictions in the mix. I think from this storm if all goes like we're seeing now large snow totals likely aren't going to be the case. 4 to 5 inches aren't out of the question however 12 inches of snow I just don't see it. Here's why, sleet mixing in thousands of feet above us will cut totals down, out over southwest Tennessee on the radar loop it looks as if the storm is trying to split in 2 and if it follows the track its on and does that it'll be over sooner than later. My take away is we have wind chills and drifting to worry about. I'm not a professional meteorologist but again enjoy predicting these things. They are ever changing. Everyone be safe and we'll see what happens

We'll see what we really get, one thing is certain an accurate measurement is going to be tough to get. This will be a light and fluffy snow with winds Monday night up around 20 to 25mph it will blow and drift. The explanation on these totals vs the ones you see from the NWS and other local weather stations is explained. Check out Dayton Weather Spot on Facebook.

Well it looks like we have a major snow on the way. The schedule is booked solid unfortunately I won't be able to take on anymore than I already have on the list. We ask everyone be patient and try to get supplies you need today. Likely clean up will continue into the end of the day Wednesday. We will do businesses, apartments, and large driveways first with the plow and switch to a snow blower to do smaller driveways that we can't effectively back drag with the plow. It looks like we have another storm coming at the end of the week as well! I believe roads especially side and back roads will be tricky all week. Everyone be safe !

Well it's been a busy stretch end of last month into this month. I'd like to address a few issues with what we've been running into.

#1 sight unseen plowing, it's not a good idea and we find potential customers will use it as a bargaining chip if we miss something. Worse of all we can cause serious damage. Not a risk worth taking.

#2 While we have a list of regular clients we get some of the mentioned above cases and even a regular mowing customer now and then we've had issues with solid packed snow and ice that's a frozen 1 inch thick layer. We can't do much with that and we tell everyone up front and we still get complaints. If your driveway hasn't been cleared since last week's first snow we have no business touching it.

I point all of this out because our trucks, plows, and tractors aren't bulldozers and they cost money to buy and maintain and we're not going to destroy a 7,000 dollar plow for a 45 dollar job. This might be borderline unprofessional but it needs said. As always we thank everyone for your continued business and we aren't pointing fingers at anyone however this is a general observation I've been seeing.
