Another busy week for HH Excavating!
We’ve been hard at work taking care of:
- Carport demolition
- Trenching for electrical
- Backfill and compaction

This job required two driveway crossings that were regularly used to access a barn caring for several rescue animals. From start to finish, we made sure everything was done safely, efficiently, and built to last.

🚜 Recent Project Spotlight in Elmira

A multi-phase project in Elmira called for what we’d consider a secondary backfill around a newly built home, shop, and rain drain extensions to daylight.

The homeowners were settled in and ready to enjoy their property—but with the house set at a higher grade, the yard needed one big solution: dirt and lots of it.

Thanks to the Bolton Hill Sports Complex renovation project, we were able to bring in 90 loads of fill dirt, raising the yard by over 2 feet in some areas and creating more than 20,000 sq. ft. of usable space.

Halfway through, it hit me—I was working with the same dirt I played in as a kid with the Territorial Sports Program. A full-circle moment!

And we’re not done yet. More potential phases are ahead, including overflow parking, boulder retaining walls, and more.

We recently completed the wreck out of old fencing and brush debris removal while carefully preserving select vegetation and sentimental trees to keep a natural privacy buffer.

Once our part was done, Grizzly Creek Construction, LLC came in and installed a clean, sturdy chain link fence that tied the whole project together!
