🔎 YOU ASKED. GRACE ANSWERED IT! ❤️❄️

🌡️ Should I turn my AC OFF when I leave the house, or just turn the temperature UP?

This is a question many Florida homeowners have, especially when trying to lower their electric bills!

Here's what you should know! 👇

🏡 Leaving for a few hours?
Consider raising your thermostat a few degrees instead of shutting the system completely off.

💧 Remember, we live in Florida!
Your AC doesn't just cool your home. It also helps remove humidity! Turning your system completely off for extended periods can allow moisture levels to rise.

💰 Want to save on your electric bill?
Setting your thermostat higher while you're away can reduce cooling costs. Your system doesn't have to maintain your usual comfort temperature when nobody is home!

📱 Have a programmable or smart thermostat?
These can be great tools! You can schedule temperature adjustments while you're away and have your home comfortable again before you return.

❤️ OUR GRACE TIP:
Every home is different! Your insulation, windows, system size, humidity levels, and even pets can affect what thermostat settings work best.

The goal is to find the right balance between comfort, efficiency, and protecting your home from excess humidity.

At Grace Air Conditioning & Heating, we believe in educating our customers so they can make informed decisions about their home's comfort.

🍂 Hello, Fall! From Grace Air Conditioning & Heating 🍂

The calendar says fall… and here in Florida, Mother Nature may or may not agree! ☀️🍁

As temperatures begin to change, now is a great time to make sure your HVAC system is ready for whatever the season brings. After working hard through another long Florida summer, your system could use a little attention before those cooler days and nights arrive.

A few things to keep in mind this fall:

🍁 Change or check your air filter — A dirty filter makes your system work harder and can affect airflow and efficiency.

🍁 Schedule your maintenance — Fall is a great time to have your system checked after a demanding summer season.

🍁 Don't forget about your heat! — The first cold morning isn't the best time to discover your heat isn't working. Test it before you need it.

🍁 Check your thermostat settings and batteries — Especially if you haven't switched over to heat in a while.

🍁 Pay attention to unusual sounds, smells or changes in performance — Sometimes your system gives you warning signs before a bigger problem develops.

Florida weather can change quickly, but your comfort shouldn't have to. Whether we're still running the AC or finally getting a chance to turn on the heat, Grace Air Conditioning & Heating is here to help keep your home comfortable through every season. ❤️💙

🍂 Happy Fall, y'all!

We wanted to take a moment to share a little more about who we are at Grace Air Conditioning & Heating and how we choose to do business. ❤️💙

We believe our customers deserve to know not only who they’re inviting into their homes, but also what our company stands for.

One thing we’re proud of is that we are NOT a commission-based company. Our technicians aren’t coming into your home looking for ways to increase a sale or earn a bigger commission. Their job is to evaluate your system, explain what they find, and help educate you on your options.

We work hard to keep our pricing fair and consistent. We don’t want one customer feeling like they were charged significantly more than another for the same type of work. Our pricing is designed to be fair across the board while still allowing us to operate our business, take care of our employees, and continue providing quality service to our community.

When it comes to replacing an HVAC system, education is especially important to us. We want our customers to understand the different equipment options, efficiency levels, warranties, costs, and choices available to them. We give you the information—you decide what makes the most sense for your home and your budget.

That’s also why we offer the option of extended labor warranties on new systems. Nothing lasts forever, and today’s HVAC equipment is much more complex than it used to be. With changing refrigerants, efficiency requirements, electronics, and regulations, repairs can become costly.

An extended warranty may feel like an additional expense today, but one major repair down the road can make that protection worthwhile. Over the life of a system, having the right warranty in place could potentially save you thousands of dollars in repair costs.

At the end of the day, yes, we are a business. We have employees and families who depend on Grace, and we need to make an income to keep our doors open, maintain our trucks, train our team, and take care of the people who work hard for us every day.

But our goal is never to sell you something you don't need or take advantage of our customers.

Our goal is to educate you, give you honest options, answer your questions, and help you make an informed decision.

That's a little bit about who we are and how we believe business should be done.

Fair pricing. No commission-based sales. Honest options. Customer education.

YOU ASKED. GRACE ANSWERED IT! ❤️❄️

❓ Why does my house feel humid even though my AC is running?

Living in Florida, your AC has TWO big jobs — cooling your home AND removing moisture from the air.

If your home feels cool but still feels sticky, clammy or uncomfortable, your system may not be removing enough humidity.

Some possible causes include:

💨 Airflow issues — A dirty filter or airflow problem can affect how your system performs.

💧 Drainage issues — Your AC removes moisture from the air and sends that water through the condensate drain. Buildup or a clogged drain can cause problems.

🌡️ Thermostat or system settings — How your system operates can affect humidity control.

📏 System sizing & operation — An AC needs adequate runtime to remove moisture. In hot-humid climates, simply making the air colder doesn't necessarily solve a humidity problem.

🔧 Maintenance issues — Coils, drain lines, airflow, refrigerant and other components all play a part in proper system performance.

Florida comfort isn't just about temperature — humidity matters too! ☀️🌴

If your home feels more like a Florida afternoon than it should, give Grace Air Conditioning & Heating a call and let us help find out why.

🔎 MOST ASKED AC QUESTIONS — Answered by Grace!

❓ “Why is my AC running but not cooling my house?”

If you hear your AC running but your home just isn’t getting comfortable, there could be several reasons:

🌬️ Dirty or clogged air filter — Restricted airflow can make it much harder for your system to cool properly.

🧊 Frozen evaporator coil — Low airflow or other system issues can cause the coil to ice up and reduce cooling.

🌿 Dirty or blocked outdoor unit — Your condenser needs proper airflow to release heat from your home.

🌡️ Thermostat issues — Sometimes the problem can be as simple as an incorrect setting or thermostat problem.

💧 Refrigerant or mechanical issues — Low refrigerant, failing components, or other equipment problems require a trained HVAC technician to properly diagnose.

☀️ And remember—we live in Florida! On extremely hot and humid days, your AC is working hard to remove both heat and moisture from your home.

If your system is running and running but your house just isn’t getting comfortable, don't keep turning the thermostat lower hoping it will catch up. Give us a call and let our team find out what's really going on.

UV Light vs. REME HALO® — What’s the difference?

We get this question a lot! While both are designed to help improve your home’s indoor air quality, they work a little differently.

🔵 UV LIGHT
A traditional HVAC UV light is installed inside your air handler and uses ultraviolet energy to help control biological growth on surfaces such as the evaporator coil and drain pan.

✔️ Helps keep the indoor coil cleaner
✔️ Helps control mold and microbial growth where the UV light shines
✔️ Works continuously while powered
✔️ Great option for protecting the inside of your HVAC system

🟣 REME HALO®
The REME HALO is a whole-home air purification system installed in your ductwork. Instead of working only where the device is installed, it uses advanced technology designed to treat the air as it moves throughout your HVAC system and occupied spaces.

✔️ Helps reduce airborne and surface contaminants
✔️ Helps reduce odors
✔️ Helps reduce certain bacteria, mold and viruses
✔️ Designed to provide treatment throughout the conditioned space

🏠 So which one is right for your home?

Think of it this way:

UV Light = focuses primarily on keeping your HVAC equipment cleaner.

REME HALO = a more comprehensive whole-home indoor air quality solution.

Every home is different, and our team at Grace Air Conditioning & Heating can help determine which option makes the most sense for your system, your home and your indoor air quality goals.
