Clogged drains in most cases can be unstopped with in our first 30 minutes of being there. We offer a wide variety of plumbing services from (but not limited to) repairing sewer lines or replacing a hot water heater to locating leaks and inspecting sewer lines with our digital camera. We also replace plumbing fixtures, fix leaking faucets/toilets/shower heads. This customer was hearing a loud humming sound that was indistinguishable between water or electrical. It stopped when certain fixtures were on. The first thing was to locate the grounding clamp to check the voltage for safety before touching the water lines. The clamp was located underneath the home, and voltage was fine. We were able to go through each fixture and determine that the meter was reading 0.10-0.15 due to the rear hose not being shut all the way down, creating air and vibration in the water line. We replaced the threaded hose bib, and the noise was gone and meter at zero.

I was very grateful and blessed that I was able to join Daniel on multiple jobs this week.

Well, the air conditioner in the van is broken so there is that
 but we replaced a very long time customer’s AC condensate pump in their home and resealed the gas joints from the shutoff valve to the unit. We are praying for the medical journey they are going through. We are blessed and grateful for the job and everyone we were in contact with today.

We were blessed with two Venus calls today, a stoppage and a sink strainer. We are grateful for each of our loyal customers and enjoy the time spent both resolving the issues, and catching up with some wonderful individuals over the past few jobs.

As always, we highly recommend using lidded bathroom trash cans and putting as little toilet paper in the plumbing as possible (ESPECIALLY in a septic or aerobic system.) This adjustment can save a lot of money on stoppage bills for all homes - including those with cast iron, roots, or even new PVC homes which can have bellies or steep runs that either slow the paper down or allow the water to outrun it. It dries in the pipes and basically turns into paper mache causing recurring issues that could potentially be prevented.

Good morning, and happy Wednesday! Let us know if you have any plumbing needs we can assist you within this next week. A minor plumbing issue can become a major one if it isn’t addressed! Don’t forget tankless water heaters need yearly de-scaling. It is nice to get routine maintenance knocked out during slower seasons when out emergency calls are not back to back so scheduling is more flexible. Daniel has needed new boots for a long time but he selflessly puts himself on the back burner, so it took a lot of convincing for him to finally get some. He tried on nearly a million that were not comfortable and landed on the ones I have, so we match! We have a tall order needing waterproof, very comfortable, non-lace up, and lightweight. These are Twisted X, and they even look nice. You KNOW he’ll be wearing them with his shorts


I went through women’s “work boots” in other brands very quickly early on because they wore holes within months, so I finally figured out I needed to just find small sized in men’s so they would last.

This morning Daniel replaced a broken fl**ge and pulled a wicked amount of roots out from under a toilet. Plants love plumbing as much as we do! He also went and unclogged a main line for one of our longtime loyal customers. We are so blessed and grateful for these jobs.

Mystery leak here in Venus yesterday so yet another job where we could both go out! So far this week we are 3 and 3 on my jobs and doctor appointments 😂

Sometimes there are multiple issues that can mask the culprit on these possible leaks such as water around the meter box as well as a usage notice from the water company.
We are glad to come out and investigate, but if you want to trouble shoot yourself there are some pro tips you can consider:

🔧 If you receive a high water usage notice, pay attention to the date range. If it is only one or two days, think back if you did a lot of laundry or filled a pool or water trough during that time.

🔧 Check if any toilets are prone to running, you may need a fill valve.

🔧 If there is water filling the meter box, turn off any fixtures in the house and check if the meter is reading 0.00 gpm which indicates no current usage or active leaks on “your side.” If the rest of the ground is completely dry, you may need to contact the city or water department because there may be a leak on their side. Otherwise it could be a low spot where recent rain collected; be sure there has been enough days of dry weather for an accurate assessment.

This one appears to be a short term usage over a couple of days as well as a possible leak on the water company’s side of the meter. We advised that our customer wait until the weather is dry and re-check the water in the meter box, and call the water company if it doesn’t dry up. The high water notice stated the usage doubled over only 2 days during the month before tapering back down, during this time a lot of laundry was washed and possibly an animal trough filled.

Sometimes the answer is to wait and see, just make sure you have all the bases covered and the meter isn’t running before letting more time pass.
