Back in 2010 my wife and I began a new journey together. Little did we know on how to start and run a business. In November of 2010 during Thanksgiving I had come down with Pneumonia and was out of work for a week. My wife had told me about an idea that she had for a business name if we wanted to start a business. The name she came up with was, “ Short Stems Home & Lawn Care Solutions” and finally it received its LLC status on December 16th 2010. Now looking back 10 years as we celebrate 10 years in business, I am compelled to reflect on all the hard work that went into creating this company. It was prayer that I begun my journey with and it was a strong work ethic instilled in me by my father that carried me through some of my hardest jobs when I started out this endeavor. Looking back over the past 10 years we have had a lot of employees come and go and a few great ones also. I am grateful for all the hard work that they have helped us with over the years. We have had a lot of good days together and some bad! But all in all we have all been blessed more than we deserve. One of my goals as a business owner was to help train young people how to work and teach them to believe in themselves so that they could carry forth in their lives a work ethic that would bless them years from now as they venture through life. Next word of gratitude goes to my customers, without them I would have no business, thank you to all who have used us! We have been blessed by you! I look forward to the next 10 years and I pray that it will only get better. We have kept a few customers for the duration of being in business and we have lost some due to death, the ones that have gone on to be with the Lord will never be forgotten, they will forever be apart of our memories and our gratefulness will always remain a priority as long as we are in business. Thank you for the current customers that are still with us and we wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

This time of year, too many crape myrtles are slaughtered. People go wild pruning these trees, possibly damaging and stunting their growth and beauty.

This message is for all the customers who are on the schedule to have their yards cut . I’m sorry for not being able to clean up the yards according to the schedule , but due to a large amount of rain , the yards are too wet to mow . I will be cutting however as soon as possible to help you get your yards back in shape . Sorry for any inconvenience.
