Last Friday, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. Never in my life did I imagine myself as a straight-A student, let alone the valedictorian of my class. After completing a grueling 16-month accelerated program, I had the honor of walking the stage and accepting multiple awards from people I deeply respect.

Changing careers at this stage of my life has been humbling in so many ways, and I know my learning is only just beginning. I feel incredibly blessed to have had such unwavering support throughout this journey.

I will always be an artist. I will never stop painting. But now, I also have the privilege of serving families during the darkest moments of their lives—fulfilling a purpose greater than myself.

More than anything, I am proud that despite the inner voice that told me I couldn’t succeed, I proved to myself and my daughters that anything is possible. With enough dedication and hard work, you can achieve anything.

This mural morphed as I painted it. It started out simple and then just kept getting moodier. Painting over metallic gold makes for a glitzy dining room.

Before and after of this porch makeover. Columns good a more modern look, stoop got a fancy new paint job. Faux herringbone bricks give this space some mad curb appeal.

Small project, but I LOVE doing this finish. Metallic pearl with soft grays and warm white male this accent wall so chic!

I often get asked if I hang wallpaper. No. No I do not. But I can replicate many different wallpaper designs, including this one. I changed the colors and shapes a bit from the original. There are two walls of this fun design in a Jack and Jill bathroom for two sweet little girls. I hope they love it!

Before and after of this pretty powder room. I LOVE the color combo. Walls were stenciled and trim painted a gorgeous jewel toned green.

I realized I never posted the after pics of this gorgeous piano. I LOVE painting pianos. They add an amazing statement to any room, add color and POW! This navy and gold combo can't go wrong anywhere.

Totally different style for me but what a fun project. Here we have a painting totally made from metallic paints. I used iron, bronze, copper, gold and silver paints. They were layered and given acid washes to react with the metals. The end result has rust and patina.

I don't usually post anything but paint, but today was special. Got to marry my best friend.

Next project getting started. I've been pretty quiet here dealing with family and health stuff. But I'm really excited to start painting this beauty.
