🌳 Hurricane Season Is Here... Don't Let Fear Make the Decision.
Every year around this time, you'll start seeing advertisements telling homeowners that their trees are dangerous and need to be heavily trimmed—or worse, removed—before hurricane season.
The reality is that every tree is different.
Some trees absolutely need corrective pruning or removal due to structural defects, decay, or other hazards.
Many others simply need proper maintenance.
At King Tree Management, we believe tree care should be based on education, industry standards, and professional assessment—not fear.
As an ISA Certified Arborist, my responsibility is to evaluate the tree, explain what I find, and recommend the most appropriate course of action. Sometimes that's pruning. Sometimes it's treatment. Sometimes it's monitoring. And yes, sometimes removal is the safest option.
But removal should never be the starting point.
A healthy, structurally sound tree provides tremendous value to your property and our community. Our goal is to preserve those trees whenever it is safe and practical to do so.
Before investing in major tree work, ask questions.
✔️ Why does this tree need to be pruned?
✔️ What defects are present?
✔️ Can those defects be corrected?
✔️ Is removal truly necessary?
An informed homeowner makes the best decisions.
If you're unsure about a recommendation you've received, we're always happy to provide an honest, professional assessment.
Let's keep Indian River County safe, beautiful, and shaded—one tree at a time.
