There’s always something special about the first days of a new school year.
The buses are back on the road. Classrooms and hallways come alive again. Teachers welcome a new group of students. Friends reconnect. And for thousands of young people, another year of opportunities, challenges, friendships and memories begins.
As an architect, I’ve had the privilege of spending much of my career helping school communities create the places where all of that happens. At Solutions Architecture, we design and improve schools—but I’ve always believed that a school is so much more than a building.
It’s the teachers who inspire.
The staff who care.
The administrators and Boards who lead.
The families who support.
And, most importantly, the students who fill those buildings with energy, curiosity and life.
To our clients, our school district partners, our friends, and every teacher, staff member and student beginning a new school year: welcome back.
