I made 8 pints of Pork N Beans. I’ve never tired this before so I’ll have to update on taste. I will say the sauce I used taste just like the can.

Pork n Beans
Navy Beans
2 quarts Tomato Sauce
2-3 tablespoons of Mustard
4 tablespoons of Molasses
1/2 cup of Brown sugar
3 cups of Chicken Broth
Bacon
Onions

Wash beans and take out beans that look bad. (I pre-measure all my beans before I wash them) Wash jars and sterilize.

In a cooker heat up tomato sauce, mustard, molasses, brown sugar. Keep hot and set aside.

Fill jars
Add beans, onions and bacon and pour hot tomato sauce mixture over beans leaving 1” headspace, add lids and rings finger tight.

The recipe above made 8 pints.

Pints:1/2 cup beans 75 mins
Quarts: 1 cup beans 90 mins

Chicken Noodle Soup

Chicken
Carrots
Onions
Celery
1/2 block of Cream cheese
2 cans of Cream of chicken
Salt
Chicken bullion or broth
Pepper
Spaghetti or egg noodles

Cook chicken with carrots, celery, and onions in water and chicken bullion or broth. You can add salt and pepper to taste.

Remove chicken and set aside.

Add cream of chicken to the broth, stir, add 1/2 block of cream cheese and stir intil melted.

Add noodles or spaghetti, cook until done.

You can add parsley or any other spice but I just used salt and pepper.

Peach Cobbler
1 cup of milk
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of SR flour
Mix these together

1/2 cup of butter melted
1 can of peach with juice or I used freezer peaches.

Pour melted butter in pan, add the milk mixture (do not stir), add your peaches (do not stir).

Bake at 350 until golden brown.

You can use any fruit or berries. (Strawberries, peaches, black berries, apples, etc)

Tonight’s menu
Fresh bass with hushpuppies and Cole slaw.

Cole slaw
1 cup of mayo
1/2 cup of sugar
4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt

Mix together and add to cabbage. So yummy

I shouldn’t have added ketchup to the plate before I took a pic.. lol

Love making chicken tenders.  This batch was for my co-workers.

Pickled some yummy banana peppers this evening. I wanted to share the recipe.

Cut banana peppers into rings. (Mild, hot or mixed) stuff into jars.

Pickle solution
2 cups of water
6 cups of vinegar
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons sugar
3-4 peppercorns
Pinch of celery seed
Pinch of mustard seed
Pinch of tumeric
1 garlic clove( I used crushed garlic)

Boil mixture just until rolling boil, add to jarred peppers. My jars sealed from the hot solution; I don’t hot bath. I keep them in the fridge for extra crunch.
