We are looking for a fulltime hard working carpenter to join our team. Ideally, you like to work with your hands and enjoy learning new skills. You are a team player that enjoys a fast paced environment and likes to be versatile. We offer competitive pay starting at $15/hr DOE. We can provide the opportunity to develop new skills and operate a wide range of tools. You will get the opportunity to learn about many different materials and how to apply them. Our work spans Western Montana, from south of Darby to North of Frenchtown.
We are a family owned construction company that does all phases of residential construction with emphasis on custom, quality craftsmanship. We are based in Victor Montana and will work anywhere in Western Montana.
Types of projects/work we do:
- Full remodel, additions and new builds
- Framing, installing windows/doors, custom cabinetry (install/build) finish carpentry, staining, standing, finishing, caulking/chinking, v***r barrier
- Siding, fascia, soffit, painting, some roof work
- Decks, railing, residential fencing, small landscaping
We typically work Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The occasional weekend may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed by management.
- Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site.
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work comfortably and safely from heights (nothing over three stories).
- Ability to stand/walk/kneel/squat for up to 8 hours in indoor/outdoor settings with both high and low spaces.
- Ability to lift heavy items 75LBS +
- Ability and willingness to work year-round in all weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in Western Montana.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
