Our Amish crew will be transported to your site with their gasoline powered tools and everything needed to build your cabin. These aren’t kits, folks! A typical cabin is hand-built in three to five days. We’ll construct your SweetCabin on your properly engineered and constructed foundation system, such as a basement or a block crawl space. We can build on a post system too, for a small charge. We’

ll build your cabin up to 30 feet wide and as long as you wish, with or without porches. We can build Gable or Gambrel roof cabins. We build everything from tiny rustic hunting cabins, to weekend getaways, to dream homes. SweetCabins provides a weathered-in shell. Inside it’s a big open room with an eight foot ceiling; two story models have either a full second floor or loft. After completion of the shell, you’ll design and construct your interior walls and rooms and finish out the inside as you wish. I believe our Amish crew is the best in the business, and because I’m an “English,” I can brag on them a bit. Another SweetCabin is ready to steal the show!

This beautiful 28x28 Two-Story Gable with 2-Sided 8’ Wraparound Porches is proof that even a few well-planned changes can make a cabin feel uniquely yours. That’s one of our favorite parts of what we do—no two SweetCabins are ever exactly alike.

A quick heads-up! We’re excited to announce that our standard cabin specifications are about to change! We’re putting the finishing touches on updated standard specs along with new options, and we can’t wait to share them with you. Because of these upcoming changes, we’re leaving pricing off of our newest posts to avoid any confusion.

If you’re wondering about pricing, don’t worry! Browse our previous Facebook posts or visit SweetCabins.com to see lots of pricing examples, then give us a call. We’d be happy to answer your questions and help you plan your own SweetCabin.

For this build, the homeowners chose several upgrades from our current standard specifications:
• 9’ first-floor sidewalls instead of the standard 8’
• 2x6 wall studs on 16” centers
• 7/16” OSB wall sheathing beneath the house wrap and our true board-and-batten Eastern White Pine siding
• Upgraded Advantech subflooring
• Heavy-duty 6”x6” porch posts instead of the 4” standard

As always, the customer supplied the foundation, windows, and doors. They chose all window and door placement, and did a great job doing so we think! Once your basic cabin plans are finalized, we’ll provide a foundation print to have in hand before excavation begins.

Take a look at this SWEETCabin! This beauty is a 30'x50' Two-Story Gable SweetCabin with 2-Sided 10' Wraparound Porches.

We can build this sized cabin to our standard specs for about $91,995, plus a transportation fee.

One thing folks appreciate about SweetCabins is that the customer gets to pick and choose what matters most and truly customize their cabin to fit their needs, vision, and budget. Take a look at what these homeowners chose to change from our standard build:
* Added one 30' dormer
* Raised the first-floor sidewalls to 10' (8' is standard)
* Upgraded to 16" on-center wall studs (24" on-center is standard)
* Upgraded to 6"x6" porch posts (4"x4" are standard)
* Added a low 90-degree stair landing (straight stairs are included)
* Added porch steps
* Plus a few other personal touches
These options are not included in our standard pricing. Since every cabin is different, upgrades and alterations are REASONABLY priced for each specific job.

We also get asked these questions all the time:
-Yes, every SweetCabin comes with a roof included. Our standard roof is a 29-gauge painted metal roof with v***r barrier underlayment, 5/8” OSB roof sheathing, and a ventilated ridge cap.
-We build in parts of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky ONLY.
-We build the weathered-in shell. After our Amish crew finishes, you'll complete the interior with room divisions, electrical, plumbing, insulation, ventilation, drywall, etc.
-We use only the best quality materials we can find. Every SweetCabin features kiln-dried Eastern White Pine siding that our Amish crew hand-cuts and installs in a true board-and-batten style.
-You choose your own windows and doors: quality, color, style, size, budget, and placement. We'll install them for you! Your first 5 standard window installs and 2 standard door installs are included, and additional standard installs are just $95 each.
-Every SweetCabin is hand-built right on your foundation by Amish craftsmen—nothing prefabricated, no kits, just solid stick-built construction.
-Every 2-Story SweetCabin comes with a full 2nd floor or a Loft, your choice!

Take a look at this beautiful 24'x36' Two-Story Gambrel SweetCabin with an 8'x20' Porch across the width. We can build this cabin to our standard specs for about $46,995, plus a transportation fee.

Our standard pricing includes both materials and labor, so there are no surprises—just honest pricing, easy communication, and quality Amish craftsmanship, built right on your foundation.

No extra taxes or other fees unless you deviate from our standard specs. These folks only made a handful of changes to our standard build:
-Added a low, 90 degree-turn landing in the stairs (about $200)
-Upgraded to 6” porch posts (about $25/post)
-Upgraded the subfloor to 3/4” tongue-and-groove Advantech (about $810 for one full floor of this size)
-Added a couple sets of porch steps (a few hundred dollars)

A few aditional items that these folks saw on their final invoice include: lower porch posts below the decking (about $30 on this build), 4 extra window installs ($95/install after the first 5 included installs), and some wood preservative. They work to finish their cabins out after a long day’s work, over the weekend between T-ball and soccer, or as a retirement project. YOU can do it too. New eye candy from SweetCabins!

This recent build turned out to be an absolute head-turner. There’s just something about a big wraparound porch, a steep gable roofline, the real wood board and batten siding, and a classic country look that feels like home.

This one is a 30x50 1-Story Gable SweetCabin with 3-Sided 10’ Wraparound Porches. We can get yours built to our standard specs for about $83,995 (+ a small transportation fee). As always, that includes the materials and labor to get your cabin shell hand-built right on your property and weathered-in fast.

These folks made just a handful of changes from standard specs that really made it all come together and look pretty sharp, including:
• Switched to a 7/12 roof pitch (from 5/12 standard)
• Raised the sidewalls to 10’ (from 8’ standard)
• Upgraded to 16” on center walls (from 2’ standard)
• Upgraded to ¾” Tongue & Groove Advantech subfloor
• Upgraded to 6” porch posts (from 4” included)
• Added a couple sets of porch steps

Not your everyday SweetCabin— this one’s got a look all its own and we're LOVING it!

This 30x50 Two-Story Gable SweetCabin with a 10x20 Porch is currently running about $76,900 (+ small transportation fee). That price includes the material and labor to have your cabin shell hand-built right on your property to our standard specs found at SweetCabins.com.

These folks made a few alterations beyond our standard build to make it fit their vision (these options priced per unique build):
• Two 42' dormers
• Continued eaves below the dormers
• Upgraded to 6" porch posts
• Had us build on their basement for $1,895 (no fee to build on a low crawl space)
• Added a set of basement steps for $395
• Had us build a couple sets of porch steps (priced per build)
• And a few more personal choices throughout such as upgraded to Advantech subflooring, a few extra window installs, had us build their basement beam, etc.

We’ll get you weathered-in in just a handful of days — quick, affordable, and built to last for generations of country living ahead. You'll choose any width up to 30' wide, any lenth, and your own porch arrangements, including wraparound and closed-in. Next you'll choose a full second floor or loft, determine the stair location, and make all decisions on windows and doors. We'll walk you through all the steps and help make it an easy process.

Have a look at this recent Garage our Amish crew built in 3 days!

This is a 24x32 Gambrel Garage, built to our standard specs for about $34,700 (+ a small transportation fee to get the crew to and from your site each day). No additional taxes or other fees unless you alter something from our standard specs. Our customers always rave about how transparent we are about our prices; just give us a call if you have questions or want to start planning your SweetCabin.

All the specs on our "Garages" are the same as our Cabins, we eliminate the first floor and instead of 5 window and 2 door installs, we'll frame and trim out for all your garage doors and install one man door as part of the job.

This customer had us alter just a few items. For example, they went to Advantech flooring in the second floor, got treated lumber for the fascia board for about $100, chose a "crinkle" metal for a couple hundred bucks, added a little landing in the stairs, etc. These items are not included and priced resonably per build. Have a look at our standard cabin specs over at SweetCabins.com and just let us know if you would like to make any changes on your particular build. There are a lot of alterations you can choose to really make it your own! No two are ever the same!
