SweetCabins SweetCabins: Amish Built, Board & Batten Cabin Shell. 1 or 2-Story Homes Built on Your Site. Wraparound Porches. Full 2nd Floor or Loft. OH, WV, & KY

Our Amish crew will be transported to your site with their gasoline powered tools and everything needed to build your cabin. These aren’t kits, folks! A typical cabin is hand-built in three to five days. We’ll construct your SweetCabin on your properly engineered and constructed foundation system, such as a basement or a block crawl space. We can build on a post system too, for a small charge. We’ll build your cabin up to 30 feet wide and as long as you wish, with or without porches. We can build Gable or Gambrel roof cabins. We build everything from tiny rustic hunting cabins, to weekend getaways, to dream homes. SweetCabins provides a weathered-in shell. Inside it’s a big open room with an eight foot ceiling; two story models have either a full second floor or loft. After completion of the shell, you’ll design and construct your interior walls and rooms and finish out the inside as you wish. I believe our Amish crew is the best in the business, and because I’m an “English,” I can brag on them a bit. Pride isn’t part of their vocabulary, but I can say I’m proud of them and the work that they do. Give us a call, and soon you'll be saying "home, SweetCabins, home."

Here’s a look at another SweetCabin we recently built!

24x32 Two-Story Gable SweetCabin
with a 6x32 Porch — $51,595 + transportation

These folks added a few extras to make this one their own — a 24’ Peak Dormer, a small 8x10 porch for a second covered entrance, porch steps, and a few additional window installs. These options are priced separately. Check out our website, SweetCabins.com for more information on what we do here at SweetCabins and what is included in our standard builds.

With a SweetCabin, you make all the decisions on your windows and doors — the brand, sizes, number of windows and doors, and exactly where you want each one placed. You choose the whole layout based on what works best for you and your future plans.

The photos show upgraded flooring, which is now included in our standard build specifications!

And there’s even MORE INCLUDED now on all our builds that you won’t see in these pictures:
• 6x6 porch posts
• 16” on-center wall studs
• Treated 2x6 fascia board

Another fresh SweetCabin here!

We get a lot of calls about building on a slab, but very rarely actually do!

These folks had us build a 30x40 One-Story with an 8x40 Porch Roof - ALL ON A SLAB. Currently, we can build yours on a slab for about $54,995 [Sept. ‘26] +transportation.

Since our Amish crew hand-built this cabin right on the concrete slab, there is no wood floor interior. Included now in our standard specifications is 16” on Center Studs, which is not shown in the photos. Pricing of this cabin also now includes Treated 2x6 Fascia Board and Treated 6”x6” (8’ tall) Porch Posts for no extra charge.

On this particular build, the customer had us make a few alterations from our standard specs, such as: We caulked around the perimeter of the customer’s sill plate prior to our Board & Batten Siding, added post brackets on all of the porch posts, and added a few extra window installs and a bigger door install. Feel free to call to discuss changes that you need or want on your future SweetCabin.

Like this size, but want it on a crawlspace? We can build a standard 30x40 One-Story with an 8x40 Porch for about $59,995 [Sept. ‘26], meaning it’d have a wooden floor inside and the standard porch would be a deck with the roof.

24x32 Gambrel SweetCabin + 8x32 Porch

One of our classic SweetCabin sizes!

Get yours built to standard specs for about $50,995! [Sept. ‘26]

This 24x32 Gambrel with an 8x32 porch is a great example of one of the sizes we’ve been building for years — but there are a few things we want to point out about this particular cabin:

This post has been updated with our CURRENT pricing. The cabin shown in these pictures was built under our previous standard specifications, so it does not show all of the upgrades that are now included in our standard pricing.

Some of the changes to our standard specs include:
• 16” on-center wall studs — now included. (This cabin was built with 2’ centers.)
• 6x6 treated porch posts — now included
• 3/4” Advantech tongue + groove subfloor — now included
• Treated 2x6 fascia — now included

A couple things shown in these pictures are not part of our standard specs and are additional options:
• Porch steps
• Low 90° turn landing on the interior stairs

We’re still working our way through our website to get the pricing and specifications brought up to date so you can easily tell what’s included with a new SweetCabin today.

24x32 Two-Story Gable SweetCabin
With One 10x32 Porch + One 6x32 Porch

Currently about $60,995 [Sept. '26], plus transportation to get our crew to your site.

These folks chose a couple of upgrades at a minimal additional cost:
• Two small sets of porch steps — about $400 total for these
• A low, 90-degree turn landing in the stairs — $200

It doesn't take a long list of expensive upgrades to make a SweetCabin your own. Sometimes it's just a few little details that make all the difference.

NOW INCLUDED in our standard specs at no extra charge: Upgraded 3/4" Tongue and Groove Advantech Subfloor, 16" on Center Studs, 6" Porch Posts, and Treated 2x6 Fascia Board.

And remember — no two SweetCabins have ever looked exactly the same! We can build our three models: Gable, Gambrel, and One-Story, up to 30' wide, as long as you'd like, with any number of porches, including wraparound porches, closed-in porches, just a deck, or just the roof. The customer also chooses their own window plan — from brand to size and color to placement. We'll get you weathered in, and you'll finish it out to really make it your own.

Another SweetCabin is ready to steal the show!

This beautiful 28x28 Two-Story Gable with 2-Sided 8’ Wraparound Porches is proof that even a few well-planned changes can make a cabin feel uniquely yours. That’s one of our favorite parts of what we do—no two SweetCabins are ever exactly alike. This size, built to our current, standard specifications is about $61,595 [Sept. '26] +transportation fee.

For this build, the homeowners chose several upgrades from our current standard specifications:
• 9’ first-floor sidewalls instead of the standard 8’
• 2x6 wall studs (from 2x4 standard)
• 7/16” OSB wall sheathing beneath the house wrap and our true board-and-batten Eastern White Pine siding

NOTE: Now we also include TREATED 2x6" fascia board on all our builds at no extra cost!

As always, the customer supplied the foundation, windows, and doors. They chose all window and door placement, and did a great job doing so we think! Once your basic cabin plans are finalized, we’ll provide a foundation print to have in hand before excavation begins.

Take a look at this SWEETCabin! This beauty is a 30'x50' Two-Story Gable SweetCabin with 2-Sided 10' Wraparound Porches.

We can build this sized cabin to our current standard specs for about $107,595 [Sept. '26], plus a transportation fee.

One thing folks appreciate about SweetCabins is that the customer gets to pick and choose what matters most and truly customize their cabin to fit their needs, vision, and budget. Take a look at what these homeowners chose to change from our standard build:
* Added one 30' dormer
* Raised the first-floor sidewalls to 10' (8' is standard)
* Added a low 90-degree stair landing (straight stairs are included)
* Added porch steps
* Plus a few other personal touches
These options are not included in our standard pricing. Since every cabin is different, upgrades and alterations are REASONABLY priced for each specific job.

We also get asked these questions all the time:
-Yes, every SweetCabin comes with a roof included. Our standard roof is a 29-gauge painted metal roof with v***r barrier underlayment, 5/8” OSB roof sheathing, and a ventilated ridge cap.
-We build in parts of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky ONLY.
-We build the weathered-in shell. After our Amish crew finishes, you'll complete the interior with room divisions, electrical, plumbing, insulation, ventilation, drywall, etc.
-We use only the best quality materials we can find. Every SweetCabin features kiln-dried Eastern White Pine siding that our Amish crew hand-cuts and installs in a true board-and-batten style.
-You choose your own windows and doors: quality, color, style, size, budget, and placement. We'll install them for you! Your first 5 standard window installs and 2 standard door installs are included, and additional standard installs are just $95 each. NOW [Sept. '26]- Get double the window installs included when we build over 2,000 square feet of cabin or porch for you!
-Every SweetCabin is hand-built right on your foundation by Amish craftsmen—nothing prefabricated, no kits, just solid stick-built construction.
-Every 2-Story SweetCabin comes with a full 2nd floor or a Loft, your choice!

Take a look at this beautiful 24'x36' Two-Story Gambrel SweetCabin with an 8'x20' Porch across the width. We can build this cabin to our standard specs for about $54,295 [Sept. '26], plus a transportation fee.

Our standard pricing includes both materials and labor, so there are no surprises—just honest pricing, easy communication, and quality Amish craftsmanship, built right on your foundation.

No extra taxes or other fees unless you deviate from our standard specs. These folks only made a handful of changes to our standard build:
-Added a low, 90 degree-turn landing in the stairs (about $200)
-Added a couple sets of porch steps (a few hundred dollars)

NOTE: Now 16" on Center Studs are included in our standard builds, no extra charge! Not shown in photos. [Sept. '26]

A few aditional items that these folks saw on their final invoice include: lower porch posts below the decking (about $30 on this build), 4 extra window installs ($95/install after the first 5 included installs), and some wood preservative.
